ive heard of it but ive never tried it. someone who uses it, is it worth a go?

also does anyone use ping from itunes?

Used since closed beta, almost three years now. After that haven't used any other service or played mp3/flac etc.

Upgraded to premium account instantly after it was released.

Last.fm is really great - I've been using it for 5.5 years (check it) - BUT what's really great about spotify is that you can listen to any album all the way though - with last.fm when you set up a radio station it just plays one song by an artist and then plays similar artists - Spotify looks more like iTunes only instead of buying tracks or only having a 60 second preview you can listen to the entire song/album - as a free user you will have short commercial breaks but they are always music related - I got sick of hearing those so I forked over the measly 5 bucks a month to not have to hear them anymore - what's also great about Spotify is that it will scrobble all your tracks to Last.fm for you

I've been looking for something like this, Last.fm was too random with the radio stations. will post my profile in an edit once it gets done downloading

I tried Spotify a while ago. Unless it has improved, Grooveshark is the same thing, but with more music. I found anything I wanted on Grooveshark where Spotify did not have a handful of stuff I wanted to hear.

Any reasons that Spotify is better than Grooveshark?

Spotify is run by proper company with lisence agreements for record labels and artists. Some ignorant labels aren't giving their music into this service yet, so some music is not currently available. This kind of streaming services are here to stay.

Grooveshark is complete joke. They only has handful of agreements, lots of illegal material etc.
