^ ok then I use a dell, I always thought people called non-macs a PC
They do, but that isn't an accurate descriptionOriginally Posted by CypherDextrous![]()
Yeah, any more PC means a Windows-based computer. The whole Mac isn't a PC thing was started by Mac to stand out. That whole "a PC gets viruses, so the Mac is not a PC" is just junk.
What do people call a Linux-based PC? That's right, it's a "Linux-based PC", even though Linux has more in common with Mac's proprietary Unix based OS than Windows.
Same basic idea behind that dumb "If you don't have an iPhone, well, you don't have an iPhone" commercial. Like people don't know if their Nokia or Droid is a freaking iPhone.
Dumbest tag-line EVER.
I use Windows Xp and Slackware Linux for operating systems on separate partitions so what would my PC be considered as?
Well I've got android and I don't like pc s except for c+c generals so makes no difference to me![]()
I feel more for the starving kids around the world that apples billions of dollars will never reach..
Ain't democracy brilliant![]()
i hate this debate.. nobody is forcing anybody to buy or use anything.. if you like win xp or linux or osx or ios or fudging vista.. go ahead.
ill stay within apples world tho, i find it tidy and clean and always satisfactory. i am moving from osx to ios more and more tho.
to each his own.
and btw.. rip steve.
I prefer PC simply because it's easier on my wallet. Macs are pretty though.
Edited ONE word, but I mostly agree with you. How amazing is that?Originally Posted by raistlin2076

Oil Profits last quarter (after paying workers, bills, taxes, pure *** profit) exceeded 4 billion for 3 months.
How many lives could 4 billion save?
When dollars, or Euros, are more valuable than a life, then you know the world has a skewed perception.
Anyhow, this isn't a starving children thread, sorry to momentarily derail it.
I forgot about Jobs purchasing Pixar. He bought it from LucasArts for 10 million and sold it to Disney for, I think, 8 billion.
Hell of a profit.
