I did these steps and now my TV is soooo much smoother/faster!

1. Go to system settings
2. Go to console settings
3. Go to display
4. Disable Display Discovery
5. Disable 3D TV
6. Manually put in your TV's optimum resolution and screen size.

I have no idea what Display Discovery does, but believe me, it was created by the Devil!

I understand it does more than that. It constantly checks the audio and video signals, something like that, which can lead to incompatibility problems or whatever.

So has anyone tried it? I'm sure it depends on the TV, but for me the difference is HUGE!
