Not so fast buddy. Like I said, I did the cue tip trick so my xbox is working fine for now, I'm sure soon it will get e74 again. I was playing Ode to Joy earlier today and I believe I was at +.083 at the final checkpoint then got -.015 which is annoying. If I could just hit those first 2 jumps good and more consistent, I could definitely take off over .100. I never was a gears player, maybe I will get it.Originally Posted by jhitman
You shouldn't leave your XBox open. The case isn't designed for that and the components will overheat or at least break down sooner.
Just a tip. :3
As already said, at least it didn't happen when Evo came out, i would actually cry!
It's happened to me once, a while back when i was playing COD: World at War, the screen went al green & fuzzy. if it ever happened again, i know what would be coming
However i did try the 'towel' trick and it worked againFor a couple of days
So sent it back...
So far the cue tip trick has worked fine. Didn't experience any problems yet.Originally Posted by Elements1992
I've got a bunch of E74, once fixed they may work for several months (depending on the way it was fixed and the level of damage occured) but keep in mind that the box still got a serious problem. i wish you luck but start to look for another one if you don't want to be without a working 360.
I fixed one of vile's with a dual reflow + x-clamp replacement procedure.
If you can put a computer together, including placing the CPU in the board, then you have a good chance of keeping your xbox working for a good while.
