Yeah we should do a topic about relativity, his theories are very complex and they mean more than just how fast light travels, Where as in E stand for energy and m stands for mass and for c stands for speed of light squared. You can use that equation for almost anything as long as you have the types of energy and mass together,Originally Posted by Oski
Plus i read on the given amount of Momentum you would take out c^2 sometimes as to where mass is equivalent to energy!
Very confussing but i can explain other theories of his too! \
Oh, because i know alot about nuclear energy and matter im thinking about doing a topic about nuclear bombs and how they "actually" work in like week three or something
Yes, they use these telescopes that actually messure the bending of light, they can actually find the reall places of objects,Originally Posted by Lumberjack
They find black holes basically when a photon goes into a black holes orbit and is turned around to earth, then it shoots out towards us and on the way it might get caught in a stars gravity and shifted even more, thus it turning randomly in space until it reaches us we can then calculate were that photon actually came from thus us learning theirs a black hole in that area,
Reset, any more thoughts of whattopic i should cover next week?
just jumping in... your (science's) whole theory is shot.
particle discovered in 1930, travels faster than speed of light leaving time travel open for discussion.
look up 'neutrinos' and skip down to the speed section.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neutrino
The neutrinos were once thought to only travel at .9999999999999 percent the speed of light, they were actually discovered recenty not in 1930 they discovered them to go faster than the speed of light because up to this date e=mc^2 or relativity theory states that nothing can travel faster than the speed of light and we've been using this since like after ww1 into beginning of ww2 and up to this date we recognize the fastest you can get is 180,000 mps. They detected nuetrinos that arrived 60 nano seconds earlier than light did
In the test, did the neutrinos travel in a tunnel straight to te destination, or did they travel in air? And if they did travel through ground, maybe the scietists weren't able to precisely measure the distance since the route went underground.
