Snipen108s Science Area! Week One! Light Speed!
Hi Forums! I dont know how to start so i picked a really easy topic to cover! This week we'll discuss Light speed and how it works!
Ever heard of a particle accelerator? It is a large tunnel made of many magnets that whiz Particles around in a circle to collide at a very high speed to create new Particles that compose of that particle. (They travel at 99.9999% the speed of light) These speeds actually are slow compared to 100% speed of light. (Quantum Mechanics(Quantum Mechanic Part explains how they work))
Possible Theory: You cant travel at the speed of light, only because its the universal speed limit unless you bend time and space itself, you can achieve this by going through a black hole and or traveling through a worm hole.
Black Hole: No one knows how a black hole works, and no ones ever seen one(They can be detected by bent light and no light sources coming from that area), but if its true that they have Unlimited Mass and Unlimited Density, then no wave lengths can ever escape from it because of its gravitational pull. Light is barely effected by gravity but cant escape the pull of a/an black hole if it comes within Event of Horizon, which is when something reaches that point it cant come back out because thats where the unlimited Gravitational pull ends(Beyond that is alot just not unlimited)
Worm Holes: Just still possible theories they exist and are sometimes thought that this is a black hole, but pretty much this is a/an area where time and spaces is disordered. Traveling through a worm hole is like getting EXACTLY zero seconds on Middle Named Danger! My grandfather made a theory on how these could work,
First you have an anvil which is unlimited dense( Meaning it is industructible, you cant split in apart because its unlimited dense like a black hole), then you have a bouncy ball with a small density, you drop the ball without using any force to push it towards the anvil, when the ball hits the Anvil(Unlimited Dense) it will bounce on and on forever until it is stopped air resistance or by you of course, because the anvil has unlimited density, the ball bounces at the same height forever, This will work with any object in a Vacuum if you have an unlimited dense object. HOWEVER... If you have two unlimited dense objects, and you brought them together, they wouldnt bounce back, in fact, they would go right through each other!
The reason for this is because when you have to heavy dense objects land on each other they bounce less, the less dense they are the higher the bounce because of the molecular force of the atoms.
So if they're unlimited dense what can they do? only bounce forward.
Thats how a wormhole could work!

But why cant they just stop in place? Because in any condition theres always no full lose in energy, so it has to go through because with unlimited density you cant bounce back, this would affect space travel, you can travel 200 light years in 0 seconds, thus skipping 200 years traveling at the speed of light.
Whats speed Have to do with time? You may not know this but time travel has been proven by I believe NASA, you can travel to the future but nobody has proven you can backwards. In space on a satellite you are actually traveling faster than the earths spin at 1675 km/ph. A satellite can orbit the earth ranging on its mass, but the sputnik(AKA the Russian satellite) did a full orbit around the globe every 96 minutes thus it traveling at 18,000 mph. The satellite is traveling in time faster than us. Nasa(I believe not for sure) put a bunch of digital clocks on a satellite and after so long the watches on the satellite had actually jumped ahead in a couple seconds(BTW: I know your thinking obviously the watches just glitched, they didnt because they are really expensive tools, and and even the cameras they had on board the satellite had the same recording date/time as the watches did).
Quantum Mechanics To Light Speed
Okay quantum mechanics is a type of science used for measuring disorientated date, for example if you wanna travel 75 years into the future, you would have to travel at 8/10ths the speed of light for ten years in space, if you didnt want to travel at that speed for ten years you might just travel at 80.534/100 speed of light and only have to travel for 2 years to successfully travel 75 years into the future. Quantum mechanics is a really hard knowledge of science. For instance you have a earthquake classified as a 2.1. Then if you doubled the number arithmetic style you'de get 4.2, but even in earth science doubling 2.1 would get you like 3. then if you doubled that you might only get 3.6, but in regular math you would get 6. But there's NO pattern to it, if you have a 9.5 earthquake and you double that you'de get like 9.8 because thats how they measure them, its easier if you understand because a 10 magnitude earthquake is as strong as having 100 hydrogen bombs going off at once(Ivy Mike)(15 megatons of dynamite compared to the first nuclear bomb going off which was the trinity which was around 18kilo tons of dynamite(roughly 1000 times stronger) Compared to a 5.0 magnitude earthquake which is equivalent to one hydrogen bomb.
If you travel at the speed of light (300,000 kms/ 186,000mps) you would miss everything, everything that happened in your lifetime would be long gone, in fact 100 % is the end, 100000 years you would miss in not even a second, time wouldn't exist. When you stop everything would be gone!
Take this as another example: Princess Layla is in trouble and you find out instantly as she is in trouble, it takes 3 seconds for her transmission to reach you when your 2 light days away, you travel at 95% the speed of light to get to her and when you finally arrive at the location shes at, its already been 20 years since she was in trouble because you traveled at so high speeds you actually accelerated time more than your actual speed!
Finally there might be ways around to causing yourself to travel far distances and not screw time up, Gravity affects the time of amount you traveled into as well,
Thank you I'll see you guys next week if i get good results!
