i was watching the enduro races from xgames and i thought it would be sweet to play remakes of such tracks, multiplayer.
hopefully thight curved tracks like that will be possible and im sure theses tracks can be easily remade by the beasts.
and what do we know of 'hardcoremode'? i wish for close to natural physics with same jumpheight and ability to take impacts more natural, and way less speed.
Hey, Ive been thinking about this for a while now and Perhaps Hardcode mode is what i suggested in the Trials HD suggestion thread. I made this suggestion in the thread "Re: Concealing Timer &/or Comparison Tool" Feb 2011. I just tracked it down because I remember talking about this.
Basically, once you have a zero fault run there is no point having B button go back to the check point. When we are speedrunning a track you dont care about checkpoints, so instead of using the back button and then have a few second delay, I wanted it to be tight and instant. Just to allow you, if you wanted, to strip down the game so you can focus on the run without the other stuff.Originally Posted by FatShady
Not sure about the HUD, hope it is optional but this is what I suggested. I am hoping that this is the idea they went with, or something similar.
hmm, ill be disapointed if hardcore mode is regular gameplay sans hud.
i hope it means more realism in terms of physics and gameplay, not features on the screen.
ill use EA Skate as an excample, skate 3 featured three gamemodes, easy, normal and hardcore. the skaters speed, pop and ability to get into grinds and slides got harder with the diff modes. the arcade guys stuck to easy and normal mode, but 99% of all skaters or anybody interested in portraing realism in their gameplay changed to hardcoremode and never looked back. i feel this could happen to trials aswell.
Hmmmmm I may be wrong but I doubt they will completely change bike physics for a different mode, would be nice though.
Thing is, if they actually trying to change it for a realistic approach, it would have to be so, so so very different.
Sure you have seen real trials, but can you imagine the difficulty of getting bike physics close to simulating that??? Would be pretty insane, would be nice though!
pretty much the only thing that isn't realistic, is what you drive over, obviously in the environments people are creating nowadays. And i would say back flips, but they actually do that **** now, **** they even do front flips now at x games on dirt bikes.Originally Posted by picklezz08
probably the wheelies over jumps is the most unrealistic thing, but if they took that out there wouldn't be half the time savers
sanity
would love to see this mode though, even though we wont
I'm still wondering if we will have custom track leaderboards? has this been clarified?
yup, with replays apparently.Originally Posted by 420
what if well be able to alter bike physics in the editor? then we could assign custom gameplaymodes at will, tweaking it as close to realism as we would.Originally Posted by 420
the devs say they made the entire game (trials evo) on consoles, and we know bikephysics is changed slightly. hopefylly this means well be able to do this. if not, it sounds like implementing it would be pretty easy.

trials hd is nothing at all like that, nor is it anything like the stuff red bull x fighters stuff.
It's almost a mix of the two, but still quite different.
