Got an iDevice? Recommend a Game.

Just like the title says, here's a good place to recommend some iOS games, and ask for other's opinions on iOS games.

I don't own many games, mostly Redlynx titles, but here's my thoughts on what I have.

World of Goo - Great puzzle game. It gets tough, for me, in later levels. You usually have to connect a bunch of goo-balls (think Tinker Toy style round hubs with semi-stable rods) to reach a pipe that will suck in your goo-balls. know it sounds bad, but it's true.)

If you like puzzle games, give it a goo (hahaha), I highly recommend it.

1000 Heroz - Go buy it, you race a big headed fake historical character through a level of obstacles to get a fast time. If you need more info, just look around here some.

DrawRace2 - I love this game. It has a few issues that I don't care for, but that doesn't really diminish the awesomeness. It's a dollar for iPod/iPhone.

Tiny Wings - I only bought this cause I saw it in Nytmair's games list. I'm happy I did. All you do is slide a bird down hill and let his momentum fling him into the air, then smoothly land on another hill to gain speed for more slide/fling action.

Really fun game that my description fails at adequately describing.

Contract Killer - A sniper game that wants to get you to buy in-app purchases to progress quicker. It's pretty good with the sniping though. If I remember correctly it's free. So why not give it a try.

Gravity Guy - Really great idea that, I think, could have been implemented in a better way. Your character runs faster and faster and you must guide him through obstacles by tapping the screen to reverse gravity.

The level(s) are unforgiving and, sometimes, almost stupid long. I played for about 15 minutes and probably won't play again. Check out the demo/free version before you commit your cash to this one.

Extreme Road Trip - Get it. Get it now. Think Tiny Wings with gas instead of daylight, and doing flips to gain boost. Fun fun fun.

    I think it's free also.

Angry Birds/Seasons/Rio - It's Angry Birds! You know what it is, but for those who have never seen anything about it (how?) here's the breakdown.

You fling birds of varying strengths into physics enabled piles to try to hit, or crush, pigs who stole your eggs. Go get it, there's like a bazillion levels and it's fun.

That's all the games I have right now, but I have some iTunes monies, so tell me what you think is awesome, and if it has a demo/lite version, and I'll probably get it.

If you have the games that aren't (hell, even if they are) listed here then let us know what you think about them.

    @eflix
I played Trial X, too, but the physics are soooo bad...

Here´s what I can recommend aside from the ones already mentioned:

Cut The Rope / Cut The Rope Experiments
Funny little physics game where the goal is to feed a cute little mosnter with candy. To do so you have to cut ropes at which the candys are dangling. As a challenge you can collect up to three stars in each level, too. The basic game has more stages, Experiments has more variety as there are some new objects like a ropegun or suction cups.

    ContreJour
This game is just awesome. It has gameplay elements of Cut the Rope (mostly), sometimes Angry Birds mixed with some Portal-esque elements and terraforming. The graphics are like a mixture between World of Goo and LIMBO. And then there´s a beatuiful piano score as musical background. Graphics and sound are just awesome. One of the best looking games on iOS devices (my opinion).

If you want to spend more money and play "bigger" games the SquareEnix games are good (Final Fantasy Remakes, Secret of Mana remake(!!!), Chaos Rings). Dungeon Hunter II is also nice, it´s kind of a Diablo like game.

    1000 Heroz - Duh.
    DrawRace2 - Duh.
Cut the Rope - great puzzle game.
    Angry Birds - Duh.
Stunt Biker - a super simple bike racing game. In reality, its bad, but I friggin love it haha.
Tiny Wings - see Shifty's post.
Bubble Bust! - Fun fast action game, similar to Bubble Bobble, etc.
DoodleJump - so addicting, a classic.
VegSamurai - free (i think) and fun as heck to slice and dice things and build combos
7 Words - a GREAT word puzzle game. Plenty of DLC to further the game if you want.
Mr.Ninja - very cool stylistic game involving jumping and stuff.
Road Trip - see Shifty's post.

Touchgrind BMX - very fun 1st person bike game, where you perform cool tricks to unlock bikes and tracks
Game Dev Story - you make games by choosing who does the graphics, etc., and advertise them. Much more fun than you think
    Shift 1 & 2 - A classic puzzle platformer, that's very innovative and cool
Assasin's Creed - A long game with decent graphics and story
Civilization Revolution - Civilization on iOS, just awesome. I've spent countless of hours playing this
    JellyCar 1, 2 & 3 - Fun, cartoony 2D car game
Fruit Ninja - Doesn't need explanation
iAssociate 2 - You associate words with each other, another type of crossword puzzle
Need For Speed Underground - A pretty old racing game with good graphics and fun mechanics
Minigore - Two stick shooter with fun graphics. One of those games that you play just to slightly improve your high-score
Mega Jump - A very long game where you collect coins to jump higher, lots of unlockables
Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus - An FPS with superb graphics. Takes advantage of the gyroscope to aim.
Tower Madness - 3D Tower defense game with a lot of levels to play.
Mad Skills MX - Sidescrolling motocross game with leaderboards, lots of levels, and a tough opponent
Tap Tap 1, 2, 3 & 4 - Classic franchise on the iPhone, very fun especially with a friend. Basically Guitar Hero.
Sky Burger - You make a burger by collecting pieces of it falling from the sky. Gets repetitive after a few hours, though
Rayman 2 - The full Rayman 2 on the iPhone!! I remember playing this one on the PS2, so I had to download it
Sacred Odyssey - A quite long RPG with good graphics and story
Zen Bound - Relaxing and challenging
    Worms 1 & 2 - No description needed
Veggie Samurai - Basically Fruit Ninja 3.0, and free (at least was)
Uber Racer - 3D racing game
Topple 2 - You build a tower, needs some more levels though
Tiki Totems 2 - You break block to save the totem from falling to the ground. Lots of levels to play

Just picked it up. On chapter 2 and it's pretty good. I like the graphics but the music, while great at first, gets really repetitive. It sounds like an 8 second loop.

Other than that small gripe, I really dig it.

@Oski - Why do you like them?

Oh snap, this game is AMAZAZAZAZING!

Well, it would be if I actually made it...

I've made fake Xbox games before, and decided to do one for iOS just to see if it looks "real", does it? Does it look real? Does it look like something you would play forEVER?!?!

Sorry for "derailing" the topic, but I was having fun with After Effects. I swear, I could design awesome games if someone *cough* Redlynx *cough* wanted to hire me... I do GUI work, Menu work, mockups, sound (kinda)... I am a veritable trove of gaming goodness!
