Hey everyone I wanted to discuss what Ive noticed in the Trials Evo Multiplayer demo.
So I recently seen the Multiplayer demo from Pax 2011, and it looks amazing, but I noticed the how the game spawns you to the leader while in the race on Local play and I hope the way you spawn on Live is different than Local, because it would ruin some fun for, lets say private matches, but if the spawns arent like that then you can have more of the map to mess around in with your friends . And I hope thats just for Local cause I could see some ideas Ive dreamed about doing for MP not happening.
Heres the vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QI27yIQBESw
And thats goes for some maps too, like extreme, for example. It would be more fun to catch up with other players rather than it automatically transport you, and you couldnt be in different parts of the track if this happens on live, and also I hope the camera is on you online instead of the camera on all the players at once(Maybe this could be considered in somthing like a hardcore mode added in the game? Just an idea.). And finally one more thing, I noticed in the demo for MP is that it automatically spawns you back if you crash, and i hope Redlynx will think about having somthing in options menu or options when setting up a map to change if you automatically respawn if you crash in MP or not, or even take it out. Cause I'd like to incorporate bailing into custom maps I make for MP, like in private matches and also mess around with bailing in public games. I really dont like the respawn after crash idea.
So is this different online? And if not I really really really hope Redlynx will consider these things I talked about, because i know you theyve been saying were saying they wanted to make this game as perfect as possible before its released.
Thanks alot for reading, and I hope Redlynx gets a chance to read this.
Cant wait for Evo!!!!![]()
Firstly, you aren't spawned to the leader, you are spawned to the person who is currently in last, and I believe you are given their speed as well so that you don't immediately fall into last again.
Secondly, I believe this is only on local, because, of course, you don't need to be on the same screen as people when you are online.
Thirdly, this is just one of the two parts of the online. The other mode is traditional, on any of the normal tracks (the 'supercross' mode you are discussing has different tracks) and you get to see your opponents' ghosts.
So basically, all is good.
Thanks for the info. Casue i was kinda worrying about that. lmao
Thanks again.![]()
If you look, everytime someone faults or gets left behind or whatever, a -1 appears on the left on the screen under thier name. This could be a fault count or a -1 second of their time. Either way it would still give them a disadvantage. Yeah they may have been teleported the 1st/last place to catch up, but they have a fault under their belt so even if they do end up finishing first, they may not be first because of the fault count.
Oh and the other reason, they are playing Local don't forget. It has to spawn players to the front point if they get too far behind because they are all playing on one screen so they can't split it! Live will/should be different!![]()
The points are kinda like Mario Kart, how you get 10 for first place, 8 for second place, and so on. You lose 1 point every time you crash or go off screen.
Local MP is played on a single TV. That's why the players need to be transported. Online however doesn't have such a limitation (everyone has their own TV).
Just something that came to my mind right now...
Would it be possible to build multiplayer tracks where you would do some kind of coop-driving instead of driving against each other?
Things like triggers on one driving line that move obstacles on the other or some big structures that all the riders have to push simultaneously or stuff like that?
Donīt know if I want to play such tracks, Iīm just curious if itīs possible.
^^ great idea.. 4 players working together to solve puzzles to get to end of trac..
Enter BlueMage......![]()
Awesome idea, very similar to Splosion Man multiplayerOriginally Posted by xXDonReneXx
Sebbbi, that's good news but on Xbox Live multiplayer, do you see the other players racing? Do you see the other 3 lanes of the track on your screen and there bike? Also, are you always going to be on the track line closest to your screen while playing on Live multi-player?Originally Posted by sebbbi
