This just hit me hard, you know that feeling you get when you have a big realization, I am on a big endorphin rush as I type this... I think I found out how part of the editor features could work, I'll try to be concise but I don't know where to start so I'll start from the beginning so please bear with me.
What we know so far that led me to this revelation:
-We know that we can create our very own skill game rules, and that they do not require a bike nor a rider at all.
-We know there is one skill game using a UFO controlled by the player, and we know it was done from scratch so we could have invented the whole skill game if the devs didn't.
From that we can reasonably extrapolate what we would need to be able to do this: a set of tools that can be assigned to controller functions (think of it as building a RC vehicle) So with engines, rockets, servos and such is how we will most probably be able to build and CONTROL just about ANYTHING![]()
Me gonna build myself a CHOPPER! (By that I mean a helicopter, not a bike)
EDIT There's much more to this, it was also said that cameras could follow any objects, now we know why? Only the bike and rider are locked to the driving line so does this imply that we can roam freely with vehicle we create??? Me thinks yes!
A chopper aye? Hope its a QcChopper, those things are far better.
Looking forward to try these tracks, I won't be making any.

In one review they mentioned a Super Monkey Ball type skillgame. So yes, I think this means free roaming, just not with the bike. Going to be ******g complicated trying to build something like that, though![]()
So we can simply do away with the rider and his bike and create our own vehicles from scratch? This game just turned into a sandbox extraordinaire and is now 1000% better.
Also, thinking about a Super Monkey Ball type skillgame, what if you added a gravity force to the ball and made all objects physics-enabled? It's Katamari! I call dibs!![]()
Oh yeah the Super Monkey Ball one, I forgot about that, this would suggest even greater control over an object than engine/servo combination. It's like you can directly make an object rotate with the controller! I can't wait, but now that the cat is out of the bag maybe we'll get a bit more infoOriginally Posted by FlipTaco![]()
Wow, nice one Qc! Seems like they're taking all the ghetto stuff we do in the editor and making them into normal features.
Now how about this: Multiplayer games with different players assigned to different tools.![]()
The more I'm hearing the more painful the waiting is getting![]()
The more i'm hearing the less tangible this game is seeming.
