Why can't girl be used to mean guy the same way that guy can be used to mean girl?

As in the way someone can say "hey guys!" to a group of girls...
But..
You can't say "hey girls!" to a bunch of guys... well unless they are gay, I know that sometimes is the case.

So I guess therefore they both ARE interchangeable, depending on the circumstances.

No I think your right on the money.This mystery is starting to become bigger than the Trials mystery.Its actually just getting stupid and boring and IT should just tell us.
