When you press B or BACK, the restart is immediate. The restart should actually be now slightly more responsive than in was Trials HD (new technology improved various things).

The crash text coming late in the video is most likely just some UI animation issue. And it seems that this issue has already been fixed in latest version. The game acts exactly the same way as Trials HD when you crash. It doesn't automatically restart, and lets you watch the tumbling down rider as long as you like. The moment you want to stop watching and continue playing, just press B/BACK, and you will immediately restart. No delay whatsoever. Everything works the same way it used to in Trials HD.

Agreed 100%. Instant restart is the most important feature of the game. Rest assured that we will rather improve it than remove it.

sebbbi's comments are pretty much always informative and that's why I like them.
Other than that, it's of course exciting to see a developer get in touch with the community.
I hope to see a nice post-mortem from sebbbi (and other devs) once Evo is out.
