hello every1, i'm just curious to know if we goona be forced to buy xbox live gold to enjoy all of the multiplayer and track download goodness, i mean, the thing that was really cool about trials HD was you could get tracks with just a silver membership, any thoughts????
Why not just get gold membership? It doesn't cost much... You will need gold for multiplayer and multiplayer will be a big part to this game.

I will preface this post by saying ultimately I DON'T KNOW but...
Devs have said in the past that the XBLA service does not allow for this kind of sharing UNLESS RL would have their own servers. Things might have changed or maybe RL got their own servers running, if so it might not be needed to have Gold so maybe you should wait for RedLynx to reveal wether it does require it or not.

The online multiplayer will most certainely use GOLD, but Track Central I wouldn't think so, but not too sure.
I'm on Live since beta days, so let me tell you:
Gold is needed, in every game, for playing online matches against other players directly, and to be able to use party chat functions.
Silver is for downloading content (any kind, paid and free, except content that is exclusive to gold members for a set amount of time, which is mostly one week for new demos), participating in leaderboards, sending/receiving text messages and using the 1on1 voice chat function.
So no, Track Central should be accessible for silver users, but online multiplayer (single lane and multilane) not.
