Anyone else wishing for a free roaming option? | Forums

As an experimental free DLC I think it'd be great fun to try even without any set game types. It'd need to switch to a 3rd person behind the rider view, we'd need to control leaning and steering which I imagine would be pretty complex.

The sandbox looks like somewhere I'd like to explore though...Redlynx office nestled somewhere in the mountains maybe

I could see that working fairly easily. You could use the right thumb stick to steer yourself left and right by pushing it up and down. Sounds simple enough, but I highly doubt we'll be seeing this kind of feature at this point in the game's development.

Judging by the success of arcade smash trials evolution we at oxm would almost gurantee another sequel to the proven hit series... in a January 2012 sneak peak interview a member of the very community based redlynx team didn't rule out the possibility of trials going free roam, whilst faithfully sticking to its roots....

I think this may be a cool idea, but i like the traditional trials where you just ride along this white driving line. Its simple. Thats what i love about trials, is that its so simple, yet so complex.

Yea maybe this would be cool as a DLC way way later in the game, but for now i think we've asked for so much from the Developers already that we shouldn't keep pushing it.

We're getting a totally new game from Trials HD, maybe this will fit somewhere later in the future, but not here for now in my opinion.

I agree here, I will not be disappointed if there isn't any free roam at all, but if it was in, it would expand the possibilities tenfold. One thing is for sure, it's that we are getting closer with each game and I will be fine with whenever RedLynx decides to do the move. In the mean time I can't help but think of the fun I would have doing hillclimbs in free roam, because the only game that comes close so far that I have played is MX vs ATV Reflex but just imagine this with RedLynx behing the physics + the ability to edit everything

Nay, The basic line riding is what makes this game so freaking addictive, so simple yet so awesome i think free roaming would ruing the ''Trials Feeling"
