    The Official SOA Track Thread

Maybe you could say WHY you don't like the track. That could certainly be of value to a new track maker.

I just don't like it. Seems like all the obstacles were just picked at random and dropped onto the driving line and there's no background/foreground

I appreciate that it may not be the best track in the world but it is my first track and a track which was put together to get an understanding of the tools that I had available in the game. Of course I'll get better so just be patient.

Re: The Official SOA Track Thread

Hoping for someone to test out the first sector of my new track and see what they think of it. I've taken on board the feedback about people saying that my Gauntlet track was not immersive and could be improved in this way. With my new track (currently named 'Box') I've tried to get as many items as I can around the rider to make it more realistic and set a scene.

The track is in no way finished or near finished for that matter. At the moment it features two obsticles and shoulden't be too hard for the experianced riders on the forum.

    Feedback is essential! Cheers.

Re: The Official SOA Track Thread

I've just finished a new track. Probably more of an experiment than a track but it's still up if anyone wants a go. I started out wanted to make a track that could be finished quickly so that people could compete for the best quick time without having to go through at 1:00 + level. (Similar to Middle Name: Danger)

So, my second track entitled simply 'Box' is a short circuit that shouldent take more than 20 seconds to clear. The level is simple but hopefully a little addictive. I've tried to put as many objects in as I can that are relevant to make sure that there is a level of immersion.

Please remember that this is only my second track after 'Gauntlet' so feedback is welcome.

    Cheers enjoy.

a little harsh that comment chicago. lets be honest, most track designers started with a track or two like this and ended up with classy top notch tracks after a month or so. when i first posted a track on here i didnt even know how to use the forum let alone build a decent track! for me personally it takes balls to put one of your boards up there for all to see and its great when fellow members leave +/- critisism. but it is like a swift kick in those said 'balls' with comments like that. i'm not being horrible i just think your comment was harsh.
