I remember back when I went on a forum for Super Smash Bros (lol ikr) they had this thing for the minigames called Acrobatic.
It's basically not about getting the highest or farthest or fastest, its about looking the coolest when you do it.
Basically this is how it went down.
Regular run through using Samus
Acrobatic run through using Snake
Can you tell the difference? it's alot more dynamic.
So I was thinking, could this be incorporated into trials? Basically just drive around on a track doing ridiculous tricks whatnot rather then just speed running it.
Only problem is theres no real grading scale on whos better and whos worse. It's pretty much opinionated.
This sounds EXACTLY like the vileDOMINATION School of Unnecessary Style.
Do you mean this?
I only lightly googled it and that wasn't exactly what i had in mind, hes still advancsing through the map awfully quickly and only doing flips... hmmm... I don't know, wish I had my capture card, I would make an example.
I think i know what you mean. For example wheelie for a distance then straight into a backflip up a ramp land on your frontwheel at the top, STRIKE A POSE! then cary on like that through the whole track right without faulting. Trickstyling on obstacles on tracks. The more you tricks you do while keeping flow the better. Is that what you mean?
You can get acrobatic in several of the skill games. Check out the vid in my sig, i don't have to do all the flips but to me it just feels right. You can also be more creative in the wheelie games. I got pretty acrobatic in my orig height jump replay, it's 183rd atm.
If you were going for tricks on the tracks you'd either have to leave it as your run way down the leaderboards, or capture it right after you finished.
but you're right, there's all types of trials riding, for instance
This guy does tricks
This guy does difficult obstacles
Yea that pretty much sums up what I mean.Originally Posted by 2witchy

Redlynx made this game exactly like that.
The only problem is they get actual breaks. All we get is reverse.
Wow, at gamefaqs? I posted in the SSBM forum quite a lot, even got a few records. Probably the best game for speed-running/high-scoring I've played. People are still playing it now after 10 years.Originally Posted by JF1zl3
