The mustache request was from me. If it helps, my stache kind of looks like this one.Originally Posted by ShiftySamurai

Make me one!
And is there a way of linking to those designs, in case someone would want to buy a controller customized by the famous Samurai?
I gave a design to a guy who lives close to me and asked what he would charge to paint and clear coat one and he said "between $100 - $150usd. That's not with the price of a controller.
To much for me.
If he is airbrushing it... and doing it all correctly then he is looking at roughly 10 hours of work I am guessing. 10-15 bucks an hour isnt much when you are talking about a skilled profession like that. As an artist myself, I would probably charge more than that.Originally Posted by ShiftySamurai
SHIFTY, your graphic arts skills are amazing! What would a PurpKushKilla or ZeroFault controller look like?![]()
It would look like an Xbox controller with custom graphics...
I'll add the ZeroFault and SonOski controllers to the "to-do" list, but I need a bit more "theme" to do a good one.
I'm actually working on a REAL controller for some people right now with paints and stuff I already have.
I sanded off the Microsoft and LB/RB/LT/RT stuff as well as the quadrant/player numbers to make a smoother "pallet". I still need to finish sand it to get it "smooth".
I'll take some pics while I am building/masking/painting and will release them after the controller is (hopefully) shipped.
It's not that difficult to do a 2 color controller if you are patient with disassemble and masking. It's just time consuming. I have allocated 3 days to finishing my project.
I finished sanding and have been cutting my masks onto a sheet of glass. About 12 masks are done, 3 pretty intricate ones to go. My fingers hurt.
They are wet because I used a badass cleaner on it and now I cant touch them with my bare hands. I put on gloves and dried them with a non-lint cloth.
Jook should give me some tips. Cause I don't want to mess this up.
I guess my white primer wasn't in the bag as I can't find it.
Yay.
Maybe I'll get a step or two done tomorrow as the only white paint I have is 'High Fill Automotive Paint' which is thick and soupy and not ideal on plastic. I'm not gonna thin it out and wait 36 hours while it dries. I'll just make sure I pick up the correct paint tomorrow or something.
