Im cool with the points system now.
But i would like seperate global, global dlc, track, touney, and skill game leaderboards.
How do these time based scoring methods handle the case when player hasn't played though all tracks/tournaments yet? Does your score (total time) get worse the more tracks/tournaments you complete?
Only around 20% of the players complete all the tracks (all extremes)... and only a few percent of players complete the Midnight Club. The scoring system cannot assume all players have a score at every track/tournament.
Good point. Thats why i say just keep the scoring system we have now. Just have a seperate leaderboards for each individual aspect of the game, as well as a total combined for global and global DLC when any DLC comes out.
That makes too much sense, sir.Originally Posted by sebbbi

This would work. but I think the points system would fine with some fine-tuning...Originally Posted by KyoshiYozima

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the point system works better because each track is weighed equally. For example, improving by a few milliseconds on a beginner track would be just as effective as improving by a few seconds on an extreme track.
If the global leaderboard was time-based, then it would be pointless to try to find shortcuts and improve on easier tracks. ( I remember hearing this from a dev way back )
Total time would be a nice personal statistic though.
