    600+ Custom tracks?

@420 - you actually can, you just remove your USB drive when you hit 600 and toss another one in there.

Your HDD, using the above method, has no tracks on it, so you could save up to 200 more tracks.

The game still only loads 600 though.

I hadn't realised you could do that to have 600 tracks.

Partitioning a single external HD into multiple virtual drives so the xbox recognises them as separate storage devices could possibly work. The only problem is that the xbox wants to configure a storage device before it will interact with it. I'm not sure if this would work on each of the individual virtual drives or if it would re-format the whole HD. Might be worth trying but I don't have a spare HD lying around.

    Re: 600+ Custom tracks?

I've been doing this since i got the game. I just figured it out on my own. Except i keep them all on my hard drive.

I have 400 tracks on my hard drive. Whenever i want a new track i download it on my flash drive, then when my flash drive gets a bunch on there, i transfer them to my hard drive. Simple as hell.

Idk why anybody would want more than 600 tracks though. I came close to having 600 once, then realized that like 300 of them sucked. If you have enough time to go downloading more that 600 tracks, then you have enough time to download a track and if you dont like it delete it.

I bet a ton of people dont even sort through tracks and delete a bunch of them that they dont even play or dont like. People just download and move on even if its bad.

In my opinion there is no need for 600 tracks, but the way to get that has already been explained muiltiple times, co ok

I'm going to start doing this too.

This may be a stupid question, but I'm not taking any chances. Are replays/medals preserved when moving tracks between devices? I have great replays on a lot of the tracks on my USB drive and I don't want to lose them when moving the tracks to my internal HD.

I have almost 400 at this point, and I haven't kept any non-ninja tracks that I don't like. If I think a track is ****ty I will delete it - unless it's a Ninja track because I like having EVERY track from the Ninja leaderboard.

I wouldn't mind the option of having more than 600, and I could see getting there eventually. The load time really doesn't bother me because I never just sit there and watch them load. I always let them start loading and then check my email, check these forums, make some coffee, etc. until they are loaded. Waiting a couple more minutes for 600+ tracks really wouldn't make a difference to me at all.

But in any case, 600 seems to be the limit... but at least now I know I can have them all on the same device.

    Thanks Shifty!

ACTUALLY you can load more than 600 tracks. Just have one device with 600 and then use another device to download 200 more (unless they disappear and I'm wrong, unsure)

600 Limit is only on initial setup.

If someone reminds me/*****es at me this week I can make a video

No more than 600 won't load. I'm talking about after the initial load of the 600. Then you can download more on another device.

I asked a question above, but I'm guessing it got lost in my TLDR post... I have an issue with writing too much.

Pretty sure you don't lose replays. but try on a track you don't care about as a test You can move one track at a time

    600+ Custom tracks?

You won't lose replays shuffling tracks among storage devices.

You WILL lose replays if you use a gamertag other than the replay owners gamertag.

    Example!

Bob and Tom share an Xbox.

Bob signs in and downloads "Track" and gets a platinum medal and replay (Go Bob!).

Tom signs in and moves "Track" from the HDD to a USB.

Bob signs back in, now "Track" isn't on his track list, and when he moves it back, he will probably get an error saying "You must play the track to watch a replay", even though it will show his previously earned platinum.
