New Capture Card
Hey all,
Getting a new capture player now because it's so annoying to set my camera up for this stuff now and the quality is just plain meh, it's decent enough but to play other games and get other captures is a no-no because of the playing with the camera in my face just isn't going to cut it lol.
So yeah the new one is costing me the same price as my camera, They both play HD but one I can carry around will become helpful for when I need to do some Real Life stuff.
At least this way I can do videos on other things like Assassin's Creed and make some fan stuff now rather than just Trials...
Just out of curiousity what capture to you use at the moment?
I am getting a Roxio for now.

Edit: You can play in HD on your telly but the recording aspect won't as good quality so it's good if you want to get into doing commentaries which I might start uploading stuff and doing.

Re: New Capture Card
i was gonna recommend the black magic intensity pro, but i expect its a bit expensive at ~£135
(also, you need a spare PCIe slot in your PC, and for the PC to be half decent)

Re: New Capture Card
Get this.
It's what I have, and it's great. I believe it is also what Murdoc, Jarr3tt, and Qc have. You don't need any special slots on your computer or anything - it just outputs directly to USB 2.0, and records at whatever resolution you want from 480p all the way up to 1080i.
One thing - if you have a Mac it doesn't come with the necessary recording software, but a great program is out there to buy (or pirate) that works just as well as the Windows program it comes with.
The Roxio Game Capture you're talking about getting only records at 480p, and seems to have some issues with quality degredation on your TV while you are recording... and a number of other issues. I don't know this from experience, but you should probably read some of the reviews on this page before you buy it.

I brought the Hauppauge 1212 to the world of THD, so you should use that.
I set the standard high
