The game is good. It is an RPG like Diablo.
It has three characters to chose from, and beyond that nearly everything is randomized, from the levels, to the monsters, to the item drops. Normally u get infinite lives, but to make it more interesting you can "give" your character less lives.
The tech tree, rare items, spells you can learn or teach your pet are extremely well implemented.
Pity the leaderboards is uninformative.
Beat that review IGN and Teamxbox, nitwits!
O really?? It has 30 multiplayer challenges too, which can be tackled alone or with a team. The last 5 are harder than hell.
Perfect Dark was released in May 2000 for N64.
My buddy and I were 15 years old.
We rocked to Korn and Eminem and Limp Bizkit thinking we were the F-ING S while blowing bots away in multiplayer with our FARSIGHTS shooting through WALLS at those F-ING skeletons!!!
BOOOOOOOOOM
I forgot to mention that an improved perfect dark is on xbox live for 1200 banana points. Dual analog sticks, much better visuals, leaderboards, and a much sexier Jo.
I also speedrun Perfect Dark. I don't know how to do the super fast running movements that the top players do, so if you are new to the game we'll be running across the levels at the same speed (but not with the same result).
They shave their analog sticks for faster movement. (modded controller)Originally Posted by Starfire999

Ahh right, so it's like Marble Blast Ultra. Ye I agree it is cheating, but I speedrun to see what I can do. I couldn't care less if I'm not at the top of the leaderboards.
Bah, that's like saying that using a trackball instead of a mouse is cheating.
As long as companies allow licensing for turbo/rapid fire controllers, macro buttons, and all of that jazz, then shaving a stick (dirty) isn't cheating.
Shifty, the difference between turbo controllers, trackball mice, and macro buttons is the things that those control devices do can all be achieved by a human.Originally Posted by ShiftySamurai
However shaving your stick allows you to do things that actually break the game's physics as you're able to (literally in game) travel faster at all times. It's literally modding. Modding is cheating.
It's like being able to put a sticker on your xbox that allowed you to have zero gravity on Trials.
A more correlating example to perfect dark would be having the ability to make your car in a racing game travel 5 Mph/8 Kph faster than everyone else's.
You too can shave your stick.
