So based on that one small piece of imformation you may also like Haruki Murakami -"A Wild Sheep Chase", "Wind-up Bird Chronicle", "Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World" etc. David Mitchell is fantastic -"Ghostwritten", "Cloud Atlas", "Number Nine Dream" are all very good books. Other great authors: Philip K ****, Charles Bukowski (brilliantly funny realism), Kurt Vonnegut, Hunter S Thompson. My favourite book I've recently read (well re-read actually) was "Life of Pi" by Yann Martell.
