For those who read, i thought we could talk books.
Avoid Song of Fire and Ice by George Martin. I just read four thick *** books and was only mildly entertained. I'm sure the tv show(Game of Thrones) is great because underneath a ton of boring exposition and mediocre dialogue there are a couple cool characters and plots, but not worth the hours and money i spent to find them.
Recommend a book for me, fiction preferably.
WEB Griffin's The Corps series.
It chronicles the careers of a few (4-10 depending on how many books you make it in) Marines from the start of WW2 to the Korean War.
I'm enjoying it.
David Baldacci's Simple Genius
Dean Koontz's Odd Thomas, The Good Guy, Intensity... Lots of good books.
There's a book called The Daemon that is really good, there's also a sequel and it's awesome too. It's a techno/thriller/action book. It's by Daniel Suarez.
Really it all depends on what you genre you most enjoy reading. If you let me know more about your favorite books, I probably know of a couple good books no matter what you like.
I typically read 70-100 books a year. I enjoy it FAR more than TV.
I read about 100 pages in 2 hours, most of my books are 300 pages. I typically read a few hours every night and usually finish a book within 3 days.
What's the problem?
Why do you have to interpret my amazement as a problem?
Because you didn't say "Amazing", "astonishing", or "wow".
You said "what the fack!", that's why.

Dude, I think you'll like some of the below.. I remember reading somewhere that you liked "Snow Crash" by Neal Stephenson which I though was great. So based on that one small piece of imformation you may also like Haruki Murakami -"A Wild Sheep Chase", "Wind-up Bird Chronicle", "Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World" etc. David Mitchell is fantastic -"Ghostwritten", "Cloud Atlas", "Number Nine Dream" are all very good books. Other great authors: Philip K ****, Charles Bukowski (brilliantly funny realism), Kurt Vonnegut, Hunter S Thompson. My favourite book I've recently read (well re-read actually) was "Life of Pi" by Yann Martell.
Feel free to send some recommendations this way too mate.
I hate reading.. read beano and dandy etc as a kid. But I've read dragonlance chronicles 3 times.. over 1000 pages.
