.03 from a perfect score.
Am I counting this right? 44 top dogs?
Wow AkaM, unbelievable.
[Edited again 9-28-11]
Thanks Face. It's 37 top dogs.
I get #1s on tracks that I never thought I would, either because the previous top dogs were already fast or even cause I never thought I'd find the patience needed for some tracks (those smallish, noobish, tutorial like pains in the ***).
Regarding the points, there is a great chance I'll reach 6199.94 and the max number in my mind is 6199.96.
We'll see what happens, I still enjoy playing trials after 1000+ hours but it's annoyingly quiet nowadays. I miss NorfaiR
ive only dabbled in T2SE but i can appreciate how skillful you must be akam. not to late to join norfair and the rest of us on HD, be interesting to see what you could do![]()
I agree, it's too quiet. I'll put my vote in for Norf to come back. I don't know if he's accepting petitions or anything, but I'd love to see things become more lively again. Hell, at this point, Trials2SE needs a few more people around to bear witness to what's happening on the leaderboards. I'm keeping track quietly while watching my runs get stomped by some of the other strong riders. (ahem Haruspex, cough, Fistbag)
I'm still having a blast playing though. I'll spend 6-8 hours improving a track just to get 25-30 in the rankings. Generally speaking, I've nearly reached my highest potential in this game, so it's good to see someone eating up those 'unachievable' top dogs.
As quiet as it's gotten, this is one of the more exciting things I've seen since Pebe made his successful push for all the hard tracks. So keep it up. It's fun to check out the runs. I just couldn't believe nobody had posted about it in the forums, especially since you and Degn have gone back and forth a few times on a couple tracks.
Speaking of which, it IS about time that somebody calls Degn out for being so damn good at Trials, right? You gotta respect hitting 6199.28 even as AkaM is making holding onto a top dog seem impossible.
Anyway, keep it up you guys. I'm watching.
Loooong post ALERT.
I've thought about getting a Xbox so I can play some THD, which generally I find it to be a wonderful game, but it never convinced me that I'd want to compete for a high place in the leaderboard. Maybe it's the lack of attention in the boards (in t2se the menu is what you see most while playing + there are stats tools a click away), or just maybe the excessive amount of explosions, along with the half-weird, half-funny, none suitable for competitive play skill games (why do they even count for rankings?). Don't get me started on the boost fire flying type thing. I can't even imagine how a player takes a track seriously when he is forced to fly during the run.Originally Posted by WILLYUMZ
I'm sure though, that if I had decided to buy the console, I would be lurking in your friend list for new custom tracks. The editor alone is worth the money and leaving competitive play behind, the game is tons of fun.
I think that there is no limit in this game, with time you become better and it never stops. Sometimes I pray it stops so I can quit in peace, without thinking that I could have done better, but it never freaking does.Originally Posted by FaceStab
It's messed up getting a top dog and thinking I should improve that sometime, in the sense that even with a #1 run, there is still room for improvement.
Damn it RedLynx, how did you make an infinite game?
Degn needs no calling out, he introduces himself to the world of trials by doing all those awesome runs. He started after most of us did but reached us and over-passed us in no time. There have been some extreme battles between me and him lately. Top dogs that have been there for months or years and suddenly we beat them repeatedly while beating each other. We've helped one another improve many times.
I remember hanging out with HarmLess (I miss you too) in the chat, talking about how fast Degn was improving and it'd be a good idea to recruit him in our team. So we did. Best deal ever.
So Degn, you are starting to be absent from the chat headquarters lately. Don't force me to post that I miss you too in the future![]()
I will join you at christmas. Then I teach you some lessonsOriginally Posted by WILLYUMZ. Can't wait f****** arround with norf again. Gonna be fun.
Mounting any sort of serious comeback right now seems pretty unrealistic for me, for many reasons. I love T2SE with all my heart, but I've given this game more playtime than anyone (literally imo). Spending 10 hours to retake a world record only to have someone else come up with a new trick that saves 0.20 secs.. nah, been there too many god damn times lol.
Besides, I was always a niche player and could only really compete on a select few levels. I'm happy to even have a handful top dogs left with all the crazy players that are currently running rampant on the leaderboards. Even Kim is beating me on many tracks, what has the world come to??
THD is more fun atm, I'm getting better with the editor and compared to t2se, the game is just miles bigger (Please note I didn't say better, because it's not imo). Infinite tracks. And with Evolution around the corner, I think I'll just focus on that instead of trying to beat e1, d10, d9 etc..
But T2SE is the most fun I've ever had in gaming, and that's partly because of the great community. I'm glad to see clean leaderboards with no 2nd acc ego bs like THD has, I'm glad to see that the top players and chat regulars are all really cool people (even Alessandr0, he's actually a pretty good troll) and have stuck by the game for this long, and I'm glad to have been a part of this game's history.
I will probably run my playtime into something more eye-friendly, maybe 1600:00:00, but I don't expect to improve a lot of tracks in the process as I no longer have the eye of the tiger.
Oh and AkaM, improve e1 again. Your run is pretty ugly. Bye.
Being in chat and being active in trials are two different things for me for a long time now. Those still "active" in t2se play for a few days, then go inactive for a week or more, until something happens which makes them ride for another couple of days. That's pretty much how it goes nowadays.
We rarely talk about trials anyway. Just drop in and say hello is what I'm suggesting. All of you that turned the page and never looked back.
I already tried to improve e1, along with e6 and e11. It's just too boring trying to improve a #1. So thanks for your tip, but no. Bye.![]()
You've had it one day. You'll get better.
