Im standing by no leveling up or ranking system. The game is fine without it so we dont need it now.

Jesus...show a little faith in RedLynx ffs. After all, they gave you Trials HD.
I personally don't see the purpose to a leveling system. The global leaderboards work fine to gauge your skill; they're superior, even. It ranks you directly amongst every other player in the world while a leveling system groups chunks of players into different static ranks and once you reach the top rank, you lose a large part of your motivation to play the game and better your skills. On the leaderboards, your rank is always at risk of being overthrown so you need to always better your skills and get better times on tracks, promotion some rather hardcore competition.
I realize that the global leaderboard would still be sticking around if a leveling system were added but I feel like it would do nothing but distract from the global leaderboards and add a choking point to player's motivation to better themselves at the game.
Other Trials games didn't include a level editor either, but it's used a lot. I would love there to be more options and not use them, then no options and wish for more.Originally Posted by xPrOFeSsi0NaL
I would like to see an Exp based progression system, but not have it focused solely on multiplayer. Unlocking colors, parts, or clothing for getting Gold or Platinum would be fun. Unlocking other things for winning 10 online races would be cool too.
It easy to say "I don't want that", but just as easy for others to say that they do.
for sure keep that out, this might ruin the game like ''mx vs atv alive''.Originally Posted by xPrOFeSsi0NaL![]()
For sure put it in, it might make it better like the level progression and unlocks in Call of Duty.Originally Posted by hondarider26

All just my opinion:
Personally, I don't see how a Trials game (or the players) would benefit from a leveling system.
It's completely unnecessary and would propably only distract and make most only play until they
reach the maximum level (to unlock the inevetable achievement that comes with it).
The unlocks (if there are any), Shifty mentions, could be tied to completing tracks for example.
In summary, I think it would hurt the game.
And how the hell did all this end up here? Isn't there a better topic to discuss it?
