Only will hate it if we can go level down.![]()
Leveling would be good, buth leveling down would suck.![]()
I think adding a leveling system to games that dont have it and are good makes the game worse. Example (which some may disagree with me) gears of war 2. Gears 1 is a great game and gears 2 blows in my opinion. The leveling system sucked horribly too, and there was no point to it. There would be no point to a leveling system in trials when the game is completely fine without it.
We aren't saying it needs a levelling system, we are saying it would be a nice touch.Originally Posted by xPrOFeSsi0NaL
A levelling system does not interfere with the gameplay at all. It is merely a bonus just like more color options for your rider.
I think that would be a waste of space in the game though when you can just have all of your colors unlocked at the start, just like trials HD.
No, I'm not saying by levelling up you unlock more colors. I'm saying levelling up would be as much of a gamebreaker as more color options.Originally Posted by xPrOFeSsi0NaL

Try there...
Sounds something like what Bungie did with Halo Reach. You could unlock special "nameplates" that appear next to your name in the game lobby by playing some of their past games like Marathon, Halo 2, Halo 3, etc. as well as doing other things in the game.Originally Posted by jenkki

No, the reason Gears 2 blew was because of the horrible connectivity, not the ranking system.
Ranking systems add something to work towards within games, without one people will surely stop playing multiplayer because as we all know people don't really find just "fun" enough. While ranking systems can go against games (where people lower their ranks to play less-skilled players), the majority of the time they do their job, and allow people to aim for something whilst playing.
A bad example of a ranking system would be Halo Reach, instead of rewarding players for winning, it's just a matter of who plays the most. A ranking system needs to be skill-based, not playtime-based. That sucks.
Honestly none of us can say wether Trials would work with or without a ranking system, because if I recall correctly Trials HD didn't have multiplayer, so we have nothing to base anything off.
if there gonna be a level up system most of the more die-hard players on here would've probably maxed it out pretty soon.
For a ranking system I am hoping for something along the lines of exp from just playing everything rather than just multiplayer.Originally Posted by ronald84
