Now please note this is a serious thread, I don't want Starfire coming all up in here cracking that stuff.

I have my first EVER job interview coming up next week, and in all honesty I'm so nervous about it. Any advice that you guys could give me would be great!

Eventually they will probably ask if you have any questions for them.
BAD questions to ask would be:
How much will I get paid(anything to do with salary)
How much days do I get off(anything to do with vacation days etc.)
You want to work that stuff out at a later date

GOOD questions are stuff like what kind of people will I be working with or what is the environment of where I will be working.

    Dress to impress etc.

Try to elaborate on most answers, that always helps. Thats all I can remember form my Communication applications classXD Good luck

I wont hurt to research the company you'll be working for so you have a little knowledge, thats allways impressive.

    Good luck.

    Give me some Interview advice!

Ask if they have an introduction to windows computer class in their catalog. Hahaha, really. Do it.

Seriously though, be respectful but don't act timid or afraid. If the person welcomes you with a handshake don't sweaty palm limp wrist through it. Firm and even pressure like you
got a little angry at your controller.

Don't talk out of your *** or oversell yourself or your abilities cause that can come back to bite you later. Let them know exactly what you can and can't do.

Ask the schedule and if you can SEE where you would be working. Showing more interest in the job is never a bad thing.

Don't ramble, say exactly what you need to or want to in a clear and concise manner.

Don't say "ughhhh", "ummm" or "hmmm" between words, it's a bad habit.

Don't worry too much about it if you don't get the job. Your first interview is a learning experience. If you get the job, awesome! If not, don't sweat it.

There is no problem with asking about the pay, or any of the perks such as vacation days/pay. I think it shows that you are assertive and confident. A good time to ask them is at the end when they ask if you have any other questions.... obviously this is if it isnt brought up by your employer during the interview.

Shifty has some good advise. Be clear, assertive, and honest. They know you are new to the job, so they dont expect you to know how to do it yet. The interview is to see if you are a person that they wouldnt mind working with.

I wouldnt stress about it too much, they are interested in you if they called you in for the interview. You have a good chance as long as you dont come off as a ******.
