    Re: Brink: Achievements

Other than the horrible texture graphics and texture loading this game is actually extremely fun. It took me about 4 hours to start understanding the level designs and running around like a chicken head trying to complete objectives.

It's really rewarding to get objectives done with people that don't have a choice BUT to play as a team. The team circle jerk of buffs is awesome.

I actually find myself intrigued by this game. What do you say Scrub, is it BUY NEW material or is it a wait and get it used cheap game?

    Brink: Achievements

Me neither. Not sure that is. The videos look good. Like a strange mix between Battlefield and Mirror's Edge. I really like both of those games but I do take pride in my "Test Of Faith" achievement in Mirror's Edge. Even though I found it hard to aim and shoot in that game anyways.

    Re: Brink: Achievements

I say it is a rent or wait till it is much much cheaper. I liked it quite a bit at first, but after playing for some time it's not everything I had hoped it would be.

There hardly isn't any content. The campaigns are extremely short and just opposite sides of each other. There are only like 6 or 7 levels and the online is really the only thing that they were going for in this game, so they just made a half *** campaign mode out of it.

There are upsides to the game.

I like the character customization. Not one of the most in depth out there, but I like seeing it in an FPS.
Being able to switch and upgrade classes without having to switch characters is cool too.
And like Scrub said, the whole, buffing your teammates thing is a great way to invoke cooperativeness.

This game is what you would get if Mirrors edge Faith and Team fortress Tank had a baby and then left it at an orphanage. It has some of the things it's parents have but just because of genes, But if it would have had the chance of growing up with it's parents, it could have learned soo much more and been much more developed.

All in all I love the concept of the game and hope more shooters take the direction of movement from this type of "Mirrors Edge" play, but overall the lack of content and the underdeveloped controls are deal breakers.

    3 stars IMO

If I ever start a review website, then you're doing reviews Crow. Simple as that.

Based on your assessment, I'll pass on this till the price drops.

I hate giving points to a game haha

Dood last night I was playing with my bro as rebels and had to breach the gates, hack the safe and take the safe contents to the exit. My bro played assault and I was operative. I ran as fast as I could to get the first panel off, my brother then took over and placed the bomb. While waiting for the timer to go off, I noticed all the opposite team players scrambling to stop it.

Being an operative I killed a guy and disguised myself as one of them. I used the parkour shizzle to climb the building and get behind enemy lines. I hacked a turret and kill some other guys and re disguised myself.

By the time the breach was complete I was halfway in the compound getting ready to hack the safe. I was halfway done when my bro arrived for the backups haha. While working on getting the data to the exit I decided to infiltrate again and take a health monitor take over from their side and install a firewall on top of that. THAT WAS FUN!

When a game makes me feel like telling stories like this I think the game is superb. Yeah the game has its flaws, I mean bad texture graphics, disjointed single player, repetitive bland stages and lag. But once you really start to understand the game, you start to see past that and enjoy it for what it really is.

I agree with Shifty on the review thing, this is a great paragraph.

    Thanx fellas

I do agree Boris, that it does have it's upsides, and is much much better when you play with real people. When you are playing alone however, the A.I. is so hit and miss it's not even funny.

And the Rank based difficulty is just a dumb idea IMO. It makes sense for online, that way when you level up then you play people that are around the same level. Like Halo. But it doesn't make any sense if your playing single player. I was playing on normal and am half way through my the security campaign (already completed resistance) so I'm like a level 15 and only rank 3. But now the computer just 2 shots me everytime and my A.I. partners are no help whatsoever, and this is after switching to easy mind you.

I do agree that the game is worth playing, I was just expecting soooo much more and am disappopinted. Sadly
