Malachyte, Awesome runs! I enjoyed watching them all! You can expect me to take back at least a few of those Pure Trials tracks, I enjoyed watching those a lot. And good stuff on the flip side, She can be a *****. I dare you to 0 fault my track that I am currently working on...She should be done tonight.

EDIT: Also added Komodo Dragon - a new short Ninja track by jhop420 to Level 1, with his own replay.
Thanks for taking the time to watch them all! I know there were a lot!Originally Posted by jook13
The track you're working on now has me intrigued! What Level would you say it is? 2 or 3?
Malachyte, you are a robot.
New ninja called "Lets give up" I guess level 2.
22 faults- 3:43.071 ----> http://www.youtube.com/watch_editaudio?v=6uF0hgBuTWo
Its a start, I'll bring the fault count down a bit later if I can.
Thanks Kyoshi! Did you see my awesome replay on Fort Visceral? I spend a while on that one.Originally Posted by KyoshiYozima
Added. Funny because I just played through the track myself and after my initial run I was really torn between calling it a hard Level 2 or an easy Level 3... eventually settled on Level 2 although it's harder than your other two Level 2 tracks, then I checked the forum and saw your post. Haha. Great track btw, I love the first few obstacles in particular, and the backwards jump part over the boxes reminded me a bit of What The S? by QcChopper - I used some of the same techniques to get over it.Originally Posted by jook13
Question For Everyone:
I just played through jhop420's new Ninja track, Komodo Dragon.
It took me about 20 minutes to get a good solid run where I made it to the end. The track takes about 10 seconds to complete, and has only one obstacle (no checkpoints). Because of how short it is I was able to 0-fault it with less practice than other Level 1 tracks, but the one obstacle it has is extremely difficult - I'd say it's on par with most Level 3 or even Level 4 obstacles, in fact it reminded me a bit of the pipes in Ctrl-Alt-Delete.
20 minutes to get past one obstacle is pretty crazy... that's about how much practice I needed to get past most of the obstacles in Treetops. But of course with Komodo Dragon all you have to do is get past the one obstacle and you have a 0-fault platinum run guaranteed.
However, the one obstacle in Komodo Dragon is significantly harder than any of the obstacles in any other Level 1 track, but it's obviously much easier to 0-fault since it has only one obstacle. So if how easy a track is to 0-fault is the main determining factor here then it's definitely a Level 1.
Theoretically though, if a player were just good enough to pass every other Level 1 track (regardless of faults), then they wouldn't have a chance of passing this track at all, because the techniques required for it's one obstacle are on par with Level 3 or Level 4 obstacles. Does this make is a Level 2, or even a Level 3? I spent longer on it's one obstacle than I did trying to get up the first obstacle on AM-2 the first time I played the track. Of course the significant difference is that the finish line was not waiting for me just beyond this first obstacle in AM-2.
So my question for everyone is this:
Should the length of a track be a factor in determining it's level, or should it's level be determined strictly based on the difficulty of it's obstacles, regardless of whether it has one obstacle or thirty-seven?
I'm inclined to say that the length should be a factor, and that this track should stay a Level 1, but that's really a biased opinion since what matters most to me is 0-faulting tracks. Therefore I thought I would ask what y'all had to say on the subject.![]()
today i've been playing treetops and let's give up for the first time (played the first CP of treetops a long time ago but never passed the track till today)
here's a brief summary:
treetops first run - 93f
treetops second run - 36f
treetops third run - I made it to the second to last CP with 1 fault (video) extreme nervousness caused a bunch of faults on the last two obstacles - 50+ faults
let't give up first run - 150+ faults
let's give up second run - 66f
let's give up third run - 14f video
I'm going to say I disagree that let's give up is level 2 - I'd say it's level 3 - also I'd say treetops is level 3
and jook, I can't tell you how much I love let's give up - seriously my favorite ninja track man - great work!
I agree - Length and number of obstacles does play a part in the overall difficulty of a trackOriginally Posted by Malachyte
