1000 Heroz First Preview by PocketGamer

    PocketGamer preview
Aside from line-drawing and its endless Flight Control wannabes, perhaps no other type of game is more prolific on iPhone and iPod touch than the endless runner.
1000 Heroz can be counted among them, though Finnish developer RedLynx has a different take on the sprint platformer.

I got no email about this! Bah!

Looks like a mix between a side-scroller and a Trials game. Is the point to complete levels quickly while trying to collect the "artifact"?

Will this game be using the same type of Daily Challenges that are prominent in the upcoming MotoHeroz title?

Will there be leaderboards like in the Monster Trucks Nitro games?

Can you give us an estimate of how many "levels" are available for play on a given day?

ANBA let slip that this game is in an internal Beta testing and I just hope that everything goes well with it and that there are no bugs that delay the "shipping" of the game.

When the website was up and running the other day, the price was stated. I have had other games that charged $4 in the first few weeks, only to drop the price within the following few weeks which really frustrated me because it felt like they were penalising fans and early adopters.

I for ONE, hope that for uncle BUCK's sake, the price is more reasonable for us early adopters. I don't mind if iPad users have to pay twice as much!

    Not to go too overboard here, but I have to ask;

If I buy this game when it launches, I will be able to play just 1 level? Then the next day, I can play another "new" level and the previous days "old" level?

In the vein of the preceding statement, on day 30 I will be able to play 30 levels (the previous 29, plus one more for day 30)?

Sorry to ask so many questions, but it's in my nature.

Yep that's what I understand. What I guess they are going for is 24 hour competitions. Think about Trials Janine with some spas time would smash through all tracks posting semi decent times while others focussed on single tracks. The competition was all over the place. In this scenario everyone has until end of day to post their best. Then the next day a new track starts.

I actually asked for similar features in suggestions for trials. Instead of everyone watching YouTube or replays his tests skill. No 100 hours practice just your skill and 1 day. I like it. You will also be anticipating the next track so it reps like a new game everyday.

My question. What will be the cut off time. I'm in Australia so +10GMT. What will the cut off times be for new track or end of one????

He said that previous ones were collectable though. So that leaves me to believe that you can play the older ones for time or to get the collectables.

That's why I asked for clarification.

You can play all the levels that are "old" and get the collectables. There are like 1000 of them. All custom with art and story.

As said this one is bit different game and once you "get it" (when you play it) It will be fun and you will play it.... 1000 days

Can get to set custom league here!
