    Go for the shortcut, you're less likely to mess up.

    I can't stand the fact that I haven't gotten any better at this game in over a year now. I can almost guarantee that I'm at the same skill level, but I've just played enough so that I happen to get faster times on things. For example, I decided to try and do the Breakdown today and improve my time. Every time I ever try that course I get a good start maybe 1 in 150 tries, and that usually isn't even perfect in itself. I try all these different methods to get it to work, one time it does, and then I just can't replicate it. Sometimes I try going by muscle memory and other times I do my best to just feel what I should be doing. But either way, that was the exact same position I was in a year ago when trying the Breakdown, and I'm still stuck in that rut. I don't know if there is any advice that you guys could give me, but it would be appreciated.
