So what records has everyone, been working on at the moment. I have been trying to best out reality check and unfair bombardment.
Yesterday I was setting times on tracks that I played when I didn't have a perma-connection to Live. So I wanted to get platinum again for Unfair Bombardment, remembering very clearly that it was 36.5s. Now, I still have no idea how you fellas ride over the barrels at top speedI kept trying and trying to beat 36.5. I got pissed off, took a break for like 5 min, went back and did it in like 5-10 more attempts with a nifty time of Just under 35.5 - personal best!
I occasionally get on and try to take back Weakest Link but i get bored after 5 minutes of Trials.![]()
I´ve been playing Inferno II, Greatest Hits and Diabolic lately. Did those some time ago so I thought I´m better now.
Improved Greatest Hits and Diabolic pretty well in a short time (Greatest Hits: -13,5sec...) - but both runs are still crap.
Can´t do the Diabolic tire shortcut AND finish the track without crashing either, so I still have to work on this one, too.
New personal bests on all three but not one of those is satisfying...![]()
I play alot of tournaments these days, senior circut, nervous breakdown and fantasy cup.. I suckThose tounaments are having an effect on my amount of hair! Dammit!
latest are about 60th on underwater and house of horrors but ive got lots to do with big thrills yet![]()
Step 1: Have your momentum built up prior.Originally Posted by Starfire999

Step 3: Be on a perfect run
Step 4: Hit the drop down
Step 5: Allow a random plank to come crashing down into a barrel next to you
Step 6: Rage quit
Step 7: Complain on the forums about how random 95% of physics objects are
Step 8: Be called a noob that has no idea what he's talking about for stating the truth
Step 9: Rinse and repeat steps 1-8 until you pull it off
Step 10: Pull it off
Step 11: Phantom Replay
Step 12: Be called a cheater and a loser for "hacking" trials
Step 13: Quit Trials
Step 14: Change your name to a japanese wanna-be name and start crying
Yeah there's a bit of randomness in some of the physics sometimes! But 95%? WHATEVER N00B
Mainly I've been playing the extremes for consistency and comfort, slowly preparing for no-fault runs on Midnight Club and Nervous Breakdown. Definitely taking my time though! Seems to be a good approach for building consistency. I figure it's also a decent interim step before going for better times on those tracks, since one of the things I hate the most about making speed run attempts is how it turns into grinding when you don't really have all the little steps down yet. I'll get that one amazing run but make one big mistake, then spend the next hour in vain trying to reproduce it. ugh
I've come really close a couple times to breaking into the < 1 minute club on Going Up recently, but that's about it for new times for me.
