    Thumbs up Twines!

Speaking of Reset Generation, from Pocket Gamer earlier this week:

Yes, the N-Gage might have been a dud. The side-talking taco-shaped goofball with its game cartridges hidden underneath the phone’s battery, and then a forward-looking platform that never really got off the ground. But one game stood out, and made N-Gage hard to ignore.

The game was Reset Generation, a puzzle-strategy hybrid, with a multiplayer mode that was cross-compatible with a PC version. And it came from Finnish game studio RedLynx, which has since gone on to win more than a million fans with addictive XBLA stunt-biker Trials HD. It was also as charming as it was fun to play, with loads of snarky references to gaming culture.

But what made it important was its social functions. It tied in to your Nokia player page to show off achievements and high scores to pals to the two friends who actually bought the N-Gage.

But it encapsulated a lot of the Game Center and OpenFeint functionality that we call 'social gaming' today, long before the iPhone had such features. Pity no one played it.

Yes, Reset Generation and Pathway to Glory is really really successful in mobile online gaming.

Pathway to Glory is a serious TBS Game on the First N-Gage, the system and setting is quite hardcore,
a small mistake will let you lose the battle, so you need more clever moves to surprise your enemy.
Every times I play this game is full of nervous.
Although the game have lot of features can use, the control is very simple and being act on instinct.
And the BGM is one of the best OST in WW2 games, although the hardware cannot play it better.

    BGM: http://www.stakula.com/projects_audio.htm

and the RG, yes, it is a Casual mobile game about "GAME":
Mario (the red guy and princess), Sonic (the blue animal), Tetris (the block), Pokemon (the girl with box ?!),
Tomb Raider, "lag" Robot, World of Warcraft, Bomberman, xbox achievement page and 8-bit music ... etc
The game system and storyline is quite simple, but the gaming experience of RG is really deep in my mind.
You can get fun all the time in the game. It will be a classic title on any platform (not just N-Gage).

so bad, it just got removed by Nokia.

Hopefully, in the future Redlynx can bring more games for gamers on the other platform such as iOS or Android
It is worthy port or extend the series of quality N-Gage title to the other platform for players who never play it.

We'd love to see those games make a return too, Twinesdr, but Nokia owns the I.P. rights. Now with their new alliance with Microsoft, who knows? Maybe they would like to show some Finnish mobile phone gaming in action.
