I must say though the idea of new track rotation sounds fun and I can't wait to try this out.

I don't think it's unusual or crazy for this type of game to be released on the Wii. I think Kotaku is crazy for questioning this.

You guys have built a simple, 2D, mulitplayer arcade-style racer around a simple physics premise. That's right at home on the Wii. There are a lot of old-school gamers like myself who love games like these, and the multiplayer mode (which I think Trials HD didn't have) makes it all the sweeter.

The article claims that Nintendo is backing you guys. I'm not sure what this means exactly, but if Nintendo has faith in this game, there's a reason for it.

My prediction is that you should see at least moderate success with this game. I'm buying it day one.

    Good find Gamescrub
I put up a post with all of the GDC MotoHeroz previews so far.

    DoubleDragon, glad you're aboard

The part about Nintendo backing us is definitely true - they have been giving us lots of support in the making and promotion of this game.

Releasing MotoHeroz on the Wii is a brilliant move in my opinion. You already have console players hooked on Trials HD, and before that you had PC gamers hooked on Trials 2 SE.

Some might see it as shady marketing, but I see it as smart. You will get a new market for your games, and you will have your true fans (with the money of course) follow the move onto another system.

Intellectually, It's smart. As a gamer, it might suck to not own the system that a new game is coming out on.

I think trying to appeal to the Nintendo nerds is risky. There is no end of stories about how 3rd party games perform disappointingly because of that narrow-minded demographic.
