The seller is buy.com, which is a huge online retailer, and they are backed by eBay. They have a partnership, so I'm pretty sure purchases would be covered if payment was made properly.

And I dunno where you've run into many fakes. Usually by looking at the account feedback and reputation you can tell if other people had problems with the seller listing fake ones. I've never had any problems.

i havent ran into fakes myself. i never even use ebay. i just know of people who have

lol i have a friend who runs a points shop, he sells them in denominations of 160 points per code but they come VERY cheap. 1600 msp= 10$, 4000 msp= 20$ and so on. Its legit, ive bought loads off him. If youre interested, ill refer you to him or link you to his page.
