I might get this one.
Love it when a racer does the in car view right.
once again, another great looking NFS game, but im definitly not buying it till i play the demo, because the NFS series has been pretty poo recently. also, the physics on shift 1 (on the demo at least) felt like you were driving around in a bouncy castle.
if they fix that then im definitly buying it
Back when they came out, I got both Forza 3 and NFS Shift. I played Forza first, and was pretty impressed with it. But when I played Shift, I found myself wondering why I had played Forza. Shift just felt better to me. I'm not saying it's more realistic, because like pretty much everyone else, I haven't had the opportunity to try most of the cars out in the conditions they are used in the game, but it felt more exciting.
I'm totally looking forward to Shift 2. It looks like we'll get some different tracks than the ones that have been included in every racing game since the dawn of the genre.
any game can look good nowadays. gameplay is the most important thing in racing games so i'll wait for the demo. that said, i loved the in-car view in the original shift.
is the demo of NFS shift any different to the full game, because i felt exactly the oppositeOriginally Posted by lespritdelescalier
as racing games go, shift was one of the better ones i'd played. the in-car view was excellent and the sense of speed made races in the highest tier cars very exciting, though not as realistic as forza. i did have problems with it but what it tried to do, it did well. shift 2 will likely be the same setup with a few improvements and well worth a go.
that being said..
this is need for speed and even though i like the more serious track racing games like forza and grid, its not what i want here.
i want either most wanted 2 or underground 3 and i want them done properly![]()

someone says in the comments there won't be a demo, can anyone confirm/deny?
Although I'm a huge fan of the NFS series. I prefer a racing game to either attempt to be completely realistic or for it attempt to be arcade. EX: Forza = Realistic, Outrun = Arcade.
Games like NFS are caught in the middle of realistic and arcade which makes the racing a tad bit awkward.
Also, I hate how sticky steering is on NFS Hot Pursuit. If this game has much smoother driving then I'll probably get it.
I just picked up NFS Shift. I like it so far. It's not hard to pick up on and a lot of my trials friends have times on here which can make for some competition. I've only played an hour or so of it though. Good game though as I'm sure Shift 2 will be.
