    Concealing Timer &/or Comparison Tool

    Does anyone else do this?!

I find that a lot of times when I'm really trying to set a personal best the stopwatch in the lefthand corner just f*cks with my head. I mean I've put in over 1000 hours playing this game so I feel like at this point I can tell whether or not I'm going to have a chance at setting a new record just by how I'm controlling my rider. I have a bad habit of immediately going for reset when I see RED colored numbers in my peripheral vision after even just the first checkpoint.

I just take a piece of thick paper stock and tape it over the appropriate parts of my screen, and bam! I can ride like the rider sees the course now and with no distractions.

edit: Which reminds me, would it ever be possible to implement the ability to turn off the stopwatch and comparison tools under the Settings menu of the game? That would be EPIC!!!

This was also suggested by Lestropie before as well. He places a post-it over it.

Pet hate of mine. It's been asked for before every update but I have to say it is one of the few things that the guys at RedLynx have never seemed to acknowledge

i hate it aswell, the amount of good runs ruined by one look at the top of the screen. to be honest, i dont like having the HUD on in any games.
should deffo be able to turn it off with the options menu but that may be a next game wish and not possible with an update

I don't restart if I go in the red. There's always a chance of having a sick ending.

I use the red/green numbers on the top all the time.

It helps me see which approaches saves those prescious milliseconds. The options to turn them off wouldnt hurt, but I like them.

Oh yes please. No HUD and NO checkpoints in hardcore mode.

If im going for a good time, there is no way i want to go back to a checkpoint. All tracks are zero fault so i just want to press B and go to the start. I know there is the back button but that has the countdown thingy. Those are three seconds i could be racing!

    I love this idea.
