    The Dubstep Thread.

    Hello.

I am aware of Music threads, but I think we need one dedicated to one thing..

    DUBSTEP

Anyways, for all that don't know, Dubstep is a type of music much involving DJ's, but no MC's (Thank god..). It is comprised mostly of Electronically genereated sounds that mix in with it's main focus.. BASS.

If you are to listen to Dubstep, I much consider using really good Bose or Turtlebeach headphones, or a subwoofer. All of these will make the bass in the song go up, including quality, and give you a really awesome experience. Some people define it as Rap without the vocals.

So, in this thread, post good songs/artists/videos/genres whatever. I'm looking for more good Dubstep and some of you can probably give me some good pointers.

Here are some to get you started...

    Bassnectar - Bass Head~~~~~~~~~~~~(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRftXCiqfQ8)

    Datsik - Swagga~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YpAePSP-ni4)

    Sukh Knight - Ganja~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2ZCk59-R10)

    Butch Clancy - Russian Lullaby~~~~~~~~~(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMivEU6LwQI)

    Chrispy - Inspector Gadget~~~~~~~~~~~(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oib0JvkDzYk)

Skrillex - Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites~~(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSeNS...eature=channel)

    Re: The Dubstep Thread.

i appreciate music is subjective and everybodys opinion counts but as someone who listens to A LOT of electronic music (house mainly) i see dubstep as the lowest of the low. i just cant see why people listen to it, to me at least, it sounds horrible. lack of melody and progression, it really is just noise to me.

but thats just me, i fully appreciate that a lot of people do like it and it is only my opinion.

as for tracks you might want to check out, obviously im not a fan, BUT.. deadmau5 released a rare dubstep song called Raise Your Weapon.

its not true dubstep in that at the beginning, it has a synth-based melody and vocals but about half-way thru it drops into dubstep (at which point i change song ) but although i do think the dubstep ruins it, its still a beautiful track.

hope you like it and sorry for being so negative

Deadmau5 is amazing! Probably most talented House/DnB artist ever.

Sucks you don't like Dub, I like it for it's intensity.

dunno if its rly dubstep (also i do like dubstep, nothing like a good bit of bass to see you though the night.) but i have been listening to chase and status's new album no more idols all day and i think its probably their best album so far, its honestly fantastic.

Also saw Nero live the other day and rusko at Global Gathering 2010, was amazing

If you want to hear a good dubstep mix youtube search Jaguar Skills and look for the twitter mix its fantastic
