You can almost not see the difference in those pics, but I'll go ahead and agree with AkaM, it's a mile's difference. I played for 400 hours on normal graphics and when I switched, something definitely happened with my skill level.
Normal graphics is a lot of eye candy and the game actually looks quite nice, but for speed running I would never use it anymore, just too much clutter that gets in the way. Very low all the way, although Low obviously looks a bit better and is doable as well.
