what quality?
I've heard a LOT of top players play trials2 on low quality even when their computers can handle normal. and they say its because its easier to focus because there arent as many things on the screen going on. i think i might be one of the- if not only person i the top 15 that uses normal quality. so, what quality do you use???

Re: what quality?
very low for sure! i need the fps.. if i play with only 100-200 the reaction time is too bad

Re: what quality?
I use Very Low or Low, not much difference between them, reason being on YSNP, halfway through the level you have to jump between 2 pipes, on Normal graphics setting that part it pitch black and I like to be able to see.

I use very low and windowed
very low and all those stupid effects off, less to confuse and annoy me

Re: what quality?
I prefer low quality. Also I have particles turned off mainly cause my current graphics card has some problems with trials otherwise I like them.
I don't like very low quality cause bike's tires seem too thin but it's a perfectly good choice for low end systems. I've used it on the netbook.
Now about normal quality, I think it's almost impossible to play hard using it. It's eye candy for sure but if you want to improve your rank change it now!
I actually find it surprising that people play with normal. There are parts you can't see anything and generally is not even near as clear as in low/very low.

Re: what quality?
I'm a HD player. But this is an interesting thread... I was wondering if anyone could post a video or screenshot showing the difference in the looks of low to high

Re: what quality?
Click to enlarge the screenshots I took of different qualities. The differences between low and very low are minor compared to normal quality. As you can see in normal mode, there are often many spots where the dynamic lighting creates deep shadows.

Bear in mind that you'd likely need to play the game to get a true sense of how these modes really feel while playing. This is just one example.
I've recently switched to low, hearing that it helped many of the best riders. There do seem to be fewer distracting elements, and the clarity of certain obstacles is improved.
