    Trials Ultimate - Wee, Fun Menu Video!

    Trials Ultimate!

    This game does not exist! I created all of the things in the first few posts just for brain exercise, and I decided to share my thoughts.

    Easier to read details in ODT format here.

    I mean absolutely no disrespect to Redlynx.

    Single Player;

    Multiple Difficulty Levels;

    Beginner;

    Beginner levels should feature small jumps, and be passable without changing
    the driver's riding posture. It should be very difficult to fault on these tracks.

    Base tier required for these tracks.

    Easy;
    Easy levels should feature small jumps, easy technical obsticles, and light use of
    required posture changes.

    Base to Tier 1 required for these tracks.

    Medium;
    Medium tracks should be the first tracks to use physics based obstacles, larger
    technical jumps, and a large percentage of posture changes.

    Tier 1 - 2 required to complete these tracks.

    Hard;
    Hard tracks should be extremely difficult for franchise beginners, feature obstacles
    requiring precise bike control, with landings and jumps requiring smooth transitions for completion.

    Tier 2 - 3 required to complete these tracks.

    Extreme;
    Extreme tracks should be impossible to complete for beginners, and extremely
    difficult for Trials regulars. Tracks should require extreme confidence and skill in
    bike handling and control to be passable.

    Tier 3 required to complete these tracks.

    Insane;
    Insane tracks should be locked/hidden until every other track in each difficulty
    level has been completed. These tracks should be very difficult for even the most
    experienced riders to complete.

    Tier 4 required to complete these tracks.

    heights and bounds. Coloring should have 2 tiers.

    Tier 1 Shock/Spring coloring should change base coloring.

    Tier 2 Shock/Spring coloring should allow colors to be selected for the shock

    cooperative tracks in the editor.

    Re: In Progress - Please don't post.

    Theater;

    Theater should allow players to record clips from their replays (replays should be available
    for saving during the race results screen). Multiple Clips from different replays can be added
    to a video with effects and Background music. Videos can be uploaded to your Shared Files.
    Stills, or pictures, can be recorded as well.

    The player's best time/fault runs are saved to device memory. This way, every player
    can view all of his/her replays, even if they are out of the Top 5000 scores per track.

    Share;

    Player share should be limited to 10 slots, each slot can be used for either ONE custom track
    or ONE Video/Still image upload.

    Each Share slot has a spot for Name and Description of file, each file has a 0 to 5 star rating.
    Each Share slot can be set to either Worldwide Share, or Friend Share.

    Worldwide Share is open to anyone in the world, regardless of
    Friendship status.

    Worldwide Shared Tracks are assigned a 0-5 point value by downloaders, this
    allows other users to find high quality tracks faster.

    Friend Share is restricted to people currently on your Friends List.

    Editor Additions; As the current (Trials HD) editor is an amazing editor,
    only the additions and alterations will be noted.

    Scale – Each piece now has a predetermined scale amount.

    Hue/Saturation – Pieces can now have customized Hues, and Saturation amounts.

    Floor Material – Floors now have several materials they can be made out of. Dirt(dust),
    Mud, Rocks, Brick, and Concrete.

    Dust lightly affects traction.

    Mud greatly affects traction and breaking distance.

    Rocks greatly affect breaking distance.

    Bricks lightly affect acceleration.

    Concrete gives normal traction, braking, and acceleration.

    Construct Save – This feature allows the currently selected pieces to be saved to a Construct
    folder. This allows track builders to save intricate pieces of track construction for use in multiple tracks.

    Skyline – This allows for the selection of different Sky Boxes allowing for more
    environment customization in User Created Tracks.

    Tera-form – Tera-forming allows for more detail to be applied to room blocks in the form of
    altering the blocks dimensions while still fitting into the size of one (1) room block.

    Saving – Tracks can now be saved in multiple ways.

    Default Save – Saves the current track to device memory. Name is set and it is not
    available for sharing until placed in the player's share.

    Test Save – Track is saved to the player's share, and only Users selected as Testers by
    the track builder can download and play the track.

    Collaboration Save – Track is saved to the players share, and only Friends selected as
    Collaborators can download, play, and alter the track. When the track is saved by a
    Collaborator, it is uploaded to the same spot on the original share.

    That's all I have, please feel free to completely demolish my ideas, or (even better) tell me how much you agree with me!

    Re: Trials Ultimate.

    Very interesting.
    I agree with nearly completely everything you've listed.
    But the 'Beast Rank' should be achieved after 100% Platinum medals i think.

    Love your multiplayer ideas, they are different game types right? (On Fire etc)

    Personally for me, i know a lot of people will disagree with me here, but i think Skill Games should still count towards the Global Leaderboard, just not contribute as much points as they do now AND ONLY include Skill Games that DO NOT require luck (Scrap Bones, Ski Jump, First Hill Climb? Flugtag) Keep Skill Games along the lines of inside the ball, Wheelie etc.

    Really would love to see a multiplayer feature in Trials though, i like the way you've set out the ranks and win % etc. Deffo should include a separate leaderboard for Ranked Online Matches.

    I like how you've gone so in-depth with the customization of the bike...I think there should be some REALLY expensive things to buy (Such as handlebar tassels) That interact with the physics of the bikes movement (Fly around etc) This would give people a target to 'aim' for.....Just like the really expensive stuff in COD (Or getting to last prestige just so you can use the Gold Camo)

    Like the challenges idea, always thought it would be a great addition to Trials, but challenges could be quite distracting and limited? Races are for racing, you don't want to do anything but race but you are forced to do certain stuff in order to complete a challenge (Of course this wouldn't apply in Skill Games)

    And lastly, you missed out. I would like to see a Multiplayer Tournament. Just like in-games tracks, which can include up to 4-5 riders? (Similar skill levels)

    Before i foget! : Love this idea, just thought of it as i was about to press 'Submit'.

    ANYWAY, i think it would be a GREAT thing to include a Weekly Tournament? Lets say, every Friday at 7:00pm or so....Trails servers holds an 'overall' Tournament, you can enter from the Main Menu (30 mins joining time) Tourney starts at 7:30.
    As much people can join (1000's) and it would consist of extremeee tournaments (No Extreme tracks, but LOADS of Easy's, Mediums and a few Hards) Kind of like the Ultimate Endurance tournament, so everyone can participate. This would keep Trials very close and something for people to look forward too, adds more competition.
    Then there could be prizes for something like top 50 riders? Could be money as Shifty suggested (But more money than usual because it's an achievement to reach Top 50 out of 1000's of people) Since you don't get to re-start the tournament, it's a one-shot thing every week.
    I think there should be a special prize for the people who 0 fault it and whoever gets the fastest time (Extra money)

    Damn you Shifty! Getting me all exited for Future Trails if there is any!

    I set it to 95%, many would argue that it should be 100%, but what percentage of riders can complete the current tracks/tournaments with Platinums? Setting it to 95%, and this includes Insane tracks, which are more difficult than Extremes, would be a bit more difficult than getting 100% platinums currently.

    The true Multiplayer that I have laid out is 1 vs 1, basically a heads up race against highly transparent ghosts. I'll go into more detail in the part of your post about Challenges.

    I spent a while thinking about that, the list you see now is a smaller one than I had originally made, there were too many different requirements for rankings before.

    Games like Battlefield and Call Of Duty were definitely the inspiration behind the customization area. I find myself playing "One more game" all the time, not because I really want to play more, but because I want this upgrade, or that color...

    Unlocking things as you progress can be as addicting as the game itself.

    Challenges are not things you do while racing a regular track. They are in their own area. If you Download and Load a Challenge, it doesn't affect your times on the Challenge's selected track.

    ie; In Challenge mode, you would be able to select Checkpoint 3 to 7 of Smoke and Mirrors, use the On Fire modifier, and people would have to complete that area of the track while on fire to complete the Challenge.

    Woah, slow down man. This could be accomplished in the Challenges mode.

    It could also be accomplished using features in the Social Multiplayer Area.

    This is a great idea. But I think that people should be able to play the weekly tournament as often as they want.

    Great feedback Elements!

    Come on guys, what do you think?
