The Stickz-n-Stonez Workshop: Carnifex (NEW)
Welcome to the Stickz-n-Stonez Workshop. here is where we make some of our most popular inventions such as..
Creed of Tyrants. My "learner" track cuz it was my 1st time using the editor. This track was basicly me just learning and getting used to the concept of level making. So theres no triggers or anything like that. Its not themed nor is the decoration superb if good at all. I was going for hard difficulty. (from the feedback i got from it though its harder than that)
Malevolence. Better decorated, better themed, fun to play, my 2nd map made. No fancy triggers. Extreme was the mark and im pretty sure i hit it.. after others played it, im hearing its minor ninja. what ever you think it is, just know its probably going to be difficult so enjoy.
Upheaval. Look familiar? Its easy. Thought id try to make a track that isnt so difficult. I think it looks great.

vid is in crappy quality. took it with my phone.
Left To Vanish. Floating islands in space? Asteroids? Gravity? thought id mix up the track style since most tracks are usually on the ground.hard. enjoy people.
GrindHouse. 1st track i did not name after a song by some death metal band(however im sure this is a song name somewhere). Named after the heaviest of metal. Grindcore.
with such a savagely brutal name, your probably thinking to yourself "wow that track sounds insanely hard." surprisingly its Medium. Lots of physics. enjoy.

(thanks jarr3tt88)
Turbulence. Welcome to the industrial world. hard.
ThatsWhatSheSaid. Short. Lots of wood. Hard to platinum. Therefor.. Well, you get the idea. Medium
Best time: 7.7--
Iconoclast. Short. Another one
Enjoy guys. (this one is named after an album) Easy
Best time: 9.4--
Carnifex. Spent almost 2 months comming up for the ideas in this track. Definitely took my time getting great deco with a great dive line too. Its Medium.

Re: AHHH DWAM! do yall realize what i jus did?
Played it. Got a couple of notes for you if you want em.
1. The difficulty is a bit out of whack. Towards the end it gets pretty extreme... the beginning is really easy in comparison.
2. The lighting and dust properties. Play with em. You can make the looks of the track really POP by simply changing the lighting from the track settings menu. It really does make a difference, and its a good way to get your track to stand out.
3. Following some sort of theme. I am not talking about making a specific theme like a halo based track or anything like that. I am talking about creating a look that continues through the track, it stays fairly consistant. A good rule of thumb I like to go by is mostly wood or mostly metal. You know, I personally wouldnt have wood ramps then metal ramps switching back and forth (unless there was a good reason, like switching rooms with different looks or somthing)
4. I saw you talking about not having triggers in your track like its a bad thing. Trust me, its not. You can use triggers and physics to create a very dynamic track or background, but when used incorrectly it can spell disaster. Please, feel free to play with them and learn them. Just be carful about how reliable the moving parts are and what it actually does for the rider. Nobody likes to sit and watch a ball roll and cause dominos to hit a trigger that opens a door. 10 seconds is a long time in trials time.
I could tell you put a lot of time into it, and that is great. Its the only way to learn the editor. You seem to enjoy it. With each track you make, there will be improvement. Your track isnt bad, its definately playable. There is a good challenge and it took me a while to get a decent run in.
You can take or leave my pointers... build your tracks for yourself. Everything I wrote is an opinion, and those can be wrong.
Keep at it, and I'll be willing to answer most questions if you have them, as are a lot of the great guys on this site.

Re: AHHH DWAM! do yall realize what i jus did?
yea, its basicly my practice track. im going to spend a lot more time on the 2nd one. i think its coming along nicely so far. and will hopefully be even better when its done. love the feedback. its definitely a good guideline to follow and ill for sure be putting it to some use. the track im working on now (possibly the 3rd and even 4th one as well) is/might-be experimental. learning basic triggers right now. might take a plunge at some more advanced ones later. this one is definatly better themed. well, it will be when its done anyways.

Re: The Stickz-n-stonez Workshop
Since you've only built 2 tracks it might be a tad early to make a thread. You might want to comment on other people's tracks for a while first, or check out the threads on the Level Editor board. jmo
