    Fastest Finish?

I was just wondering, when does the game register the rider of having passed the finish line? Is it when the front wheel passes, the back wheel, both, or just the rider? I was just wondering because if we knew the point that counts, then that would shave some time of our runs.

For example, on Trials Legends (The Free PC game) as soon as the middle of your back wheel touches the edge of the screen it finishes, so to get the best possible time you have to do a front (or back) flip so your back wheel touches the edge first.

Hoping for a dev reply here.

fastest finish is to cross bike first - think of an extreme wheelie almost about to crash flipping backwards - thats the fastest position to cross the line in - i've done extensive testing - try it out in the editor by making a really short flat ground track.

Even if you pulled a wheelie, your tire is going to be in the same place regardless of whether you pull a wheelie or not.. XD

but its not the wheel passing the finish line that counts.

if the bikes vertical rather than horizontal it will cross the finish line quicker, obviously providing you havent lost speed by trying to get the bike vertical.

Wouldn't it make no difference? So what SPECIFIC part of the bike has to pass the line in order to finish?

I don't think you understand... It's still bassed where your bike is going to be, as soon as the middle part of the bike passes... that's the finish, check my isabelle time.

    Re: Fastest Finish?

ive tested this out a little too
it seems like the crossing the finish line with your front wheel or leaning forward to get your head first doesn't count
Its the middle part of the bike that counts so Murdoc is right, being in a vertical wheelie is really the fastest way to cross the line
Not sure about the hill climb??

I learned this the hard way on Isabelle. (and TC's YSNP)

Crashin your head on an obstacle before you completely cross the finish line is an heartbreaker.

This is the reason I finished Skumbags astral heat like I did: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7wRBoFsBWs

If I was horizontal it seems like I would crash half the time instead of finish. If I was leaning forward at all, forget about it. My rider would smack his head before I crossed. The wheelie method like I did was the best way to finish fast and without crashing ( provided I didnt wheelie onto my back ).
