We did a bunch of tracks but I forgot who won on which ones.

To the multiplayer thing: It's not just people that are lucky getting at the top. There's cheaters that are easily able to abuse the true skill system and boost off of their friends to get to the top.

    oh gawd,

i hadn't thought of that. In that case, i hope they don't go by the true skill system. Is there a system that couldn't be exploited by boosters?

What if the matches were chosen in a random matchmaking environment... one where you have no control over who you race against next.

Hmm, I can't tell you what can't be. But I can tell you systems that can be boosted.

    - XP
    - True Skill
    - Wins
    - Win/Loss
    - Rating

I can't seem to think of any multiplayer leaderboard system that can't be exploited.

I guess they could do public and private.

Public can be against anyone in your rank(?):

    Trials God
    Trials Ninja
    Trials Master
    .
    .
    Trials Noob

and private could be where you call ppl out and race them on a choosen track and it has no effect on your public rank or position on lb.

    Re: The Next Trials

It could be possibly linked to the wins and loses ratio and determined to who you last played against, it's down to the person who is fast and unlikely to fault.

LDB's well... it could work a certain way.

But to say Trials God people would go head over heels and might take the aspect too far.

Or they could leave leaderboards out of multiplayer.

Race against someone for fun if you want....

    This.

If they had a credits system that allowed you to buy things like colors and flags on the back of your bike. They could make it so you could also earn credits from racing people online perhaps.

YES. I used to play the **** out of Cod2 (no leaderboards online). You just go in mm, and play your heart out. I think this would work well with trials. Leavin the leaderboards to best single times only with replays of course.

And i like mjays idea of credits to buy stuff, and enders idea of status dependin on all the medals you acculmate over your trials career.

Im still not sold on scoring bonus points from doin tricks n stuff because to do more tricks youd speedrun less and i think that would be takin somethin away from what trials is today. The whole score system should remain as is.

Don't worry, my signature is completely sarcastic.
