I know I saw this question before but I couldn't find the thread and I could use a little help. How do you make a bit of text into a link? Like having the words My Track Thread as a link instead of My track thread - "Link". It's a bit hard to explain but hopefully someone understands.
Also, how do you make a video appear on the forums where you can watch it instead of going onto YouTube?
If anyone could help, I would be very grateful.
i understand but dont know how sorry. but ill learn when someone responds lol
use the 'URL' button.
type 'link' between the brackets.
in the first bracket, put = and copy/paste the website after where it says url (eg.
so you have something like this]link[/url
and with the bracket on the end it comes up like so...
link
hope this helps (and that link contains strong language)
I see willy has posted while I was composing mine.. there's a bit of additional info in here, so I'll post it.
You can quote my post to learn how to do it.
this is the text that will show
Or:
this is the text that will show
It also shows in the long white bar above the place where you type your message if you hover over the URL button.
Thanks a lot guys I know how to do it now. Cheers![]()
and about the youtube vids on the forum...
use one of the youtube buttons depending on quality.
between the brackets, type only the last part.
so if you had... 'youtube.com/watch?v=rPfKWwqIVvI&feature=related' ...you should only put in the blue bit.
like this (but with the first and last brackets):
youtube480]rPfKWwqIVvI&feature=related[/youtube480
so you have:
completely irrelevent video but its a nice tune and i already had it up in a different tab![]()
hope this helps.
