slider tool
so i just need a lil help, i made a 3 x 3 track and at the end of the track you have to hit a ramp and pop up to the 3rd level, i have a set of rails with a metal plate hovering just inches above it and a set of rails just above the plate to guide it. It's sitting horizontal, what i would like to do is have it trigger the plate to slide underneath the rider as he shoots up to the 3rd level to catch him, but i cannot figure out how to get the plate to slide, i've tried the slider tool and the point to point tools in hopes that i could get them to work, i've also tried angling the plate and rails to a 45 degree decline to help the plate slide, but nothing seems to work...any suggestions?

Re: slider tool
If I understand the problem correctly, you can also take a thick log, place it centered on one end of the plate, horizontal and a bit into the plate. Place the trigger where you want it. Check physics and select the plate.. It will shoot the plate away in a straight line if everything is set correctly..
Cheers, and happy new year!

Re: slider tool
or you could build this using a piston a plattform and a trigger.
you build the piston with physics active(but animation deactivated) and glue the plattform to the upper side of the piston.
glue something non-physic to the other end of the piston to prevent it from bouncing through your map
then you take a trigger activating both (physics and animation) on the piston and put it onto the driving line.
and BAM there you go, when you pass the trigger the piston will shoot out moving the plattform under the driver.
think this should work. of course you could add a second trigger to deactivate the animation on the piston again once it has moved to its position.
