Can anyone help me out with the lights?

In some videos of custom tracks, I saw that the lights activated when people drove over them and they weren't activated when they started the track, how do you do that?

Place a trigger, press up on the d-pad, click on light, then select the light you want to illuminate. You might want to see Cannibal Shogun's tutorials.

    Here's a bit more detail.

    1. Choose the light object you want to use.
    2. Select the light object, press up on the D-Pad. Uncheck the light property, and press B to back out.
    3. Grab a trigger (any one) from the menu, and place it where you want it.
    4. Select the trigger, press up on the D-Pad. Check the light property.
    5. Go to the select objects section, and choose the light you want to turn on. Press B to back out.

Start up the track, and drive through the trigger. The light should start off, and turn on when you drive through the trigger.

Is it always a good idea to use triggers on lights? Devs do you always use triggers to turn lights on and off? Or do you only need to worry about it if there are lots of lights or other complext things going on that might effect framerate?

If you check my stickied tutorial thread, watch the dummy tutorial and skip to about 6 mins in.
The set up is the same in theory but you would put the trigger on the rideline and the rider would hit the trigger instead of the dummy.
