i think this is more likely the main reason for our lack of squirrels. more likely than pissing off animal welfare groups anywayOriginally Posted by xIronWarlordx![]()
when you find a squirrel in-game, you know you have found a secret area. if we had them in the editor, people would use them as decor and maybe even riding lineand it would kinda ruin the whole 'wow i found a squirrel' thing.
would be cool though, maybe if they limited it so we could only use one squirrel per track?
No.... squirrels are a finish protogeat... that's why there redlynx Easter eggs...
If ( and they never should ) release them.... every single trac would be laden with them...
Complety removing the novelty and fun factor....
I mean really.... the devs share a forum, give stuff away like its free market day... even let players be involved in the game....
Give them at least one thing to keep us happy..
Squirrels are not to be abused, but enjoyed when you find one![]()
Firstly, you would be very surprised. PETA are an annoyance that Satan himself plagued the world with. They attack any and everything that they can possibly use to gain attention. They have no respect for property or many laws; they're objective: make life a living hell like that which they came from. In addition to Super Meat Boy, they have attacked Call of Duty for the use of Dogs, saying that it promotes cruelty, ( I know, they're chodes.) and several other games (surely including) the games which you pointed towards, the Cabela's dangerous hunts series and the Bass Pro fishing series. Put nothing past these sorry excuses for people. I guarantee if there were so much as a picture of a squirrel that had been set on fire using the editor, they would complain.Originally Posted by snipen108
Yes but people can use other objects in the editor to make swastikas, confederate flags, middle fingers, pornography and various other offensive things.Originally Posted by Ahhme2
You can only get access to user created tracks by having an xbox live connection, isn't the ESRB rating void when going online in any game due to all the derogatory language used by the players that you play with? Shouldn't this apply to the tracks that players create as well? If not all games would be rated 17+.
We did argue your case to have them put into the gameIf redlynx had their way the squirrels would be included but its not us you need to convince. Ratings in games are there as a guidance for parents or the consumer as to what sort of content you can expect to see in the game. As you rightly said mjay, yes players can create all these things and use abusive language but this content would be removed from the public domain if it was part of a global sharing system.
A good example of this is in black ops with players creating all manner of evil and decrepid images, most of which will be suspended by activision if you're caught![]()
No matter what though anything that can be misconstrude as cruelty to animals is a tricky one to get past hehe. Alot of grey in this side to making games and not alot of black and white.
And what is with the snowman or the christmas trees can´t we get them in an update?
OMG that is friggin amazing. PETA is so messed up.Originally Posted by CypherDextrous

I might be wrong, but those look like they are made out of other things (the tree at least) with a light facing it and maybe metal sticks as ornaments.Originally Posted by Happyflow
I could be totally wrong though.
that whole setup was custom made, bowling pins/signs/missles etc........![]()
