It's been well over a year now since the release of Trials HD so I thought we could have a little look into the past and see how far we've come... Post a video of your first track or the oldest one that you still have and if you remember, the month it was made.
I'll go first. Here's the very first thing I made in the editor. It was called American Gauntlet, but it's been renamed to Gauntlet since then. I made it in August 2009.
Its so bad, I feel physical pain when watching it.
...Don't laugh.![]()
The river styx, it was my first published map, the rest were just random crap
river styx had MAJOR lag, but i still like to play it every once in a while

I wouldn't dare. As revolting as my stuff is, this is still smoother than a good deal of my tracks. Regardless, here's the first thing that ever bore the name of the falcon.Originally Posted by xIronWarlordx

Sorry for the terrible quality (video and track design)
The first complete track I made was Lost Ark the first month Trials HD came out. There's big slowdown and like most rookies I went overboard on the fire. It set the stage for how many of my tracks would be until recently: underground and atmospheric, but a relatively simple driving line. At the time I didn't know if people could steal my track and take the credit for it (like my custom paint jobs in Midnight Club) so I spelled out my entire gamertag at the end of the level. lol
Isabelle's Revenge was the first track I created, but I didn't want to release it as my first track because I felt I needed a "normal" one first. Platformer (2nd video below), was that track.
Who cares if you "went overboard with the fire"? I did laugh when I read that because as is evident by my first track, explosions where my fascination, but that's a beautiful track. Short, sweet, and undoubtedly groundbreaking for the time. That's incredible for a first work in my opinion.
Thanks. I'm still happy with the atmosphere of it but I cringe at the black pixelated boxes, slowdown, and lights floating in mid air.Originally Posted by flcnDrummer

It's funny, you can tell already with the few examples given what aspect of the editor each builder was really interested in and how that improved over time.
