'sticky' keyboard keys. help!
before you get any ideas in your dirty mind, no i have not been looking at the post your favourite girl thread a bit too much.
what is happening is that some of my keys (the arrow keys) are randomly getting stuck on, without me even touching them. they are becoming unstuck just as randomly. does anyone know how to fix this?
ps. i think this is the cause of the problem in my other thread - the jittery reply box

Re: 'sticky' keyboard keys. help!
1. Wash keyboard with soap and hot water. Soak it under the tap. Rinse really really well and stand it up to dry for 48 hrs. Or hair dryer. Not full heat.
If its still " sticky " get a new one. There dirt cheap.

Try pulling the face of your arrow keys off, you have to be careful though because it you pull too hard you'll rip the back off too! That's why my laptop is missing an 8 key....
Also you shouldn't use anything to clean computer equipment other than anti-static wipes/and or brushes. I learnt that in my college course, because the static from cloths etc can damage the hardware. Just a heads up!

yup carefully pull the face off the key, wiggle it bit by bit. don't break the little plastic clip that holds the key on, you'll need to re-set this thing and then clip the key back onto it. once you got the key off, just wipe around it with some water with a q-tip or something.
if it's a bunch of keys, have fun.. this is tedious. one of my macbooks sounds like its crunching and breaking when you type on it, i spilled a whole cup of apple juice all over it and it was too many keys to fix (lazy)
